That's encouraging. I haven't been able to get a read on the more pro Israel people in my family yet.

This is literally him saying the quiet part out loud. Honestly I'm shocked at the transparency. Essentially, right from the horse's mouth, we attacked because Israel was going to attack them without us, so we felt we had to attack first to blunt the effectiveness of the immediate aftermath.

The question that everyone should be shouting in unison demanding an answer is why? Why can we not just tell them "that's a retarded idea, go ahead without us but we won't participate." I understand that we have many difficult-to-defend bases in the region, but that is an issue in and of itself anyway.

Edit: Obviously Israel has been becoming more and more caustic politically among younger generations. Their unpopularity will only increase as boomers decrease in numbers. Trying to look on the bright side, if the American government wants to even pretend to maintain the facade of giving a shit about the will of the people, this could be it for them. So long as right and left leaning populists can join hands on this one issue.

I mean, isn't one of the dudes who mentioned jerky a celebrity chef who had a burger called the "cannibal burger." They aren't exactly doing a great job hiding it.

It's pretty sad honestly. Democrats are so terrible that "I hate this retarded warmongering but still have to vote GOP" could still be a legit coherent position to hold, but it's like their minds can't take it so they just go all in on cheering for it instead. They'll probably be surprised when Democrats win the Senate in the upcoming elections and many will blame it on fraud, which is a huge shame because it takes away from legitimate cases of actual election fraud.

I would imagine the idea is they are a theocracy based on a religion dreamed up by a maniacal pedophile that married a 6 year old. Which, fair, Islam is a blight on the world, but the fact that we have stooped so low that it is even a question of who is more evil shows how bad things have gotten.

5
Bouldabassed 5 points ago +5 / -0

It's amazing how bad it got so quickly. I think many are convinced it's bots, and while I am sure there is some botting involved, I think that is just how sites like this work. It mirrors what went down on reddit quite well.

For sites where visibility depends on upvotes and downvotes, a small majority being hostile to the minority will continue to isolate said minority and drive it from the site. This creates a vicious cycle that makes it exponentially more hostile for the minority opinion until it is largely driven from the site.

Of course, reddit had a lot more heavy handed tactics employed from the very top admins as well.

Bouldabassed 5 points ago +5 / -0

I'm sure there's a lot of that going on as well, but I will say the same thing I say to people who are convinced that reddit is mostly bots. These people really do exist in real life in large numbers.

Okay you're clearly fucking retarded and can't comprehend the words that you read, or the words that you say.

Bouldabassed 29 points ago +29 / -0

Shit's a war zone over there. One thread it's all boomers deep throating Israel and the next thread you'll have users saying fuck Israel at the top. Truly a sight to behold. Unfortunately I think the boomers are slowly winning, probably because other groups are deciding it isn't worth it to stick around on that board.

2
Bouldabassed 2 points ago +2 / -0

And I'm saying the other user is not calling for "more wars" unless you are trying to contend a war happened today. Being nice, I decided not to assume that is what you were trying to say, because that would be retarded. You've confirmed that, so now I am left wondering how the original user is supposedly cheering for more war.

Now, for all I know they are indeed a mouth breathing retard who wants full blown war with Iran. But their post didn't give that much information.

Again I don't personally like or agree with the strikes but I think it's good to understand the rationale of the (mostly) boomers who have been sold the idea that this is a good thing.

Edit: to add, I'm sure the idea is that bombings like this can easily devolve into longer conflicts, and I would agree. But the person who is sympathetic to stuff like this would point to something like Venezuela to show that it can end cleanly and quickly. We will see what happens in this case I guess. Fingers crossed.

Bouldabassed 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm not trying to say you're saying a war happened today. But you heavily implied the other user is calling for more wars by cheering on or at least being sympathetic to the strikes today. Which isn't apparent from what they posted. Are we at war in Venezuela right now?

Wouldn't be surprised if the number is higher. Not like they would parade this news around proudly for everyone to hear.

Bouldabassed 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think this is a bit of a strawman and I don't think it does anyone any good to talk past each other like this. I don't see many people at all outright calling for war, and some support for what happened today shouldn't be construed as such.

What happened today is hardly a war, or at least, does not represent the sort of "Global War on Terror" style prolonged conflict that most people are getting at when they say that they don't want any new "wars." It could still devolve into that, but as of now has not.

I am not a fan of these kinds of strikes, but at the same time if it ends up being a short-lived conflict like the one last year, I can also understand those who would assert it's worth it. Accomplish more in 1 day then the War on Terror did in 20 years and leave it at that. If that's all it is, then I could understand the argument that it's not a big deal. I don't necessarily agree but it's important to steelman and not strawman.

The issue for me comes in when this is clearly to pursue the interests of a foreign country and its citizens and not America and its citizens. Using all this military budget spent cucking for Israel's interests on something productive, or lowering taxes, would be much more in the interests of America and its citizens.

It isn't a matter of trust in this case. It's just unlikely he would come out like that unless it was fairly certain. It's the type of thing that, if not true, would be countered quite quickly.

Of course that doesn't get into the possibility that they captured him alive and we'll simply never see him again, but that's another can of worms entirely and I don't think there's any reason to think that's likely this time anyway.

2
Bouldabassed 2 points ago +2 / -0

Agreed. Trump just made a long post about it though so gotta imagine it's true, or at least effectively true, at this point. Not that he wouldn't lie, but bare minimum he is probably confident he'll never be seen again one way or another.

Physiognomy is real and how you present yourself matters. They tried really hard to push the "never judge a book by its cover" idea on us as kids.

Perhaps "appearance isn't everything but it's an extremely useful heuristic for making advance judgements on people as many behaviors and ideologies manifest in one's appearance" is too complicated for children. Or the more likely option that it's intentional propaganda. Yeah I'm gonna go with that one.

To give you an idea how the schizos on reddit are doing, the news post of the women's team declining the invite is the 2nd highest post of all time on the hockey sub, and will likely become number 1. Surpassing a tweet from Justin Trudeau last year when Canada beat the US in Ovetime during an exhibition tournament.

Still holding out hope for a good outcome. Obviously orange man has not done anything to give reason to trust him lately, but I do note that making everyone think war is imminent, moving ships and troops, etc in order to build up max leverage before striking a deal would be a very orange man thing to do.

But also cucking for Israel and bombing Iran would also be a very orange man thing to do....

Bouldabassed 6 points ago +6 / -0

Frankly, no. I am not of the belief that they are like omnipotent gods capable of any deception. And I don't think the past decade supports the "all of this was planned from the beginning" idea. The fact that supporting Israel is becoming caustic to anyone who isn't an out of touch boomer should make that clear enough. They aren't that thoroughly in control.

9
Bouldabassed 9 points ago +9 / -0

I still struggle with rationalizing how this was handled. Pure and unbridled incompetence is the only explanation. If they had intended to cover up from the beginning, their actions don't make sense. Were they really completely ignorant that it was a Mossad led blackmail ring and now are trying to cover for Our Greatest Ally? At this point it's the only explanation that even somewhat makes sense.

He deserves the electoral drubbing he will get over this. I wish I could find some enjoyment in it; I could if Democrats weren't worse. Honestly this right here would be the election to try to start a viable third party. GOP is gonna get shellacked anyway. Might as well spend the cycle doing something productive at least attempting to build for the future.

Edit: The other possibility that I don't give as much credence to is that it was an intentional op to fracture "MAGA" and destroy it forever, or at least fracture it to the point that it no longer poses any threat to the establishment. But that would require a level of coordination, execution, and control that I do not believe (based on their past actions) our enemies actually have.

Yeah I think unfortunately they will just starve his campaign of oxygen so that all the boomers overwhelmingly vote for Vivek in the primary. This guy really needs to do whatever he can to break into mainstream consciousness.
