Should've just vetoed. Flat out. Make them override, that's fine, but his objection stands in the record.

It's a megaphone for grifters and the mentally ill. Was it ever anything else?

Agreed on all points. Guess we'll just have to wait for a manifesto to emerge so we can debate the merits of it or if it's a false flag. Can't wait to hear the Qtard theories.

They'll find out the RV was stolen a week ago, I'd wager.

Hahahaha yeah something about the woman politely asking people to evacuate downtown didn't exactly scream "Muslim" to me. They'd be driving a van labeled "free candy".

Getting some strong NSA vibes from that building. But I do know a little bit about centers like these. Those floors just house equipment and not people, they don't really benefit from windows and it's likely not nefarious or covert. Who knows.

I heard the bombers weren’t even wearing masks. Fucking terrorists

You're thinking of his brother Brett

Oh hell, I know so many people who have a cough, are convinced they’re dying, get a test, test negative, and suddenly they never really felt that bad to start with. Media hype is killing anyone’s ability to accurately assess their own risks.

Masks are only going to make things worse in the long run. The virus that permeates the flimsy fabric barrier are going to be selected for survival on smaller and smaller aerosolized moisture particles, meaning what survives will be far more transmissible than what we started with. It’s the same reason we don’t wantonly prescribe antibiotics for every minor disease. Every time I read about some “new strain” I’m all but certain it’s a problem we created.

For the record I live in TN, the state that ranked worst in the country in the past couple weeks for new cases. We're doing dick outside of politely asking for masks in public. Right behind us is California, a fucking prison state.

Check the nutjobs over on r/politics. They're fuming because Trump threatened to veto the greatest bill in the universe. They must've had an extra helping of dementia juice this morning.

I prefer COVID classic, but COVID zero is so close you can hardly tell the difference.

They sometimes even blew their own opportunities to present evidence in ways that looked deliberate. 100% grifters, and they ruined the image of more legitimate fraud cases.

Lin Wood used Rittenhouse as a cash grab too. Hopefully he’s not running that case at this point.

Heat is such an oddly specific movie to append to your list, and yet I couldn't agree more with its inclusion. What a masterpiece.

Good movies still get made. Survivorship bias leaves us the impression that old movies were inherently better. They weren't. There's a lot of crap that's long forgotten, and what we're left remembering is what's worth remembering.

However, filmmakers could accomplish things in the 60s and 70s that just can't be done today. Things like psychologically abuse actresses so they give more traumatic performances, fire live pistols during filming, unannounced, to get better shock reactions, film live car chases in Chicago that are real and endanger real people, or my favorite, hire thousands of Russian extras to film the battle of Waterloo at 1:1 scale.

But still, TV has hit a quality revolution, starting with the Shield, continuing with the Wire, Sopranos, Xfiles, Breaking Bad, etc.

Christopher Nolan gets a lot of shit, but he's pushing boundaries and exploring concepts that would've been technically impossible decades ago.

Horror movies are hitting a resurgence, and we've seen better horror movies in the last decade than in the preceding 20 years.

It's not all bad.

Well they've already dropped their first excerpt and, your opinion may differ, but my sense is it's a nothingburger. Despite the headline, CNN isn't discussing covering up anything. They're just liberals exemplifying the type of anti-Trump bias that one would expect, but I just don't hear anything surprising in that discussion. They're discussing where the line is to be walked in providing too much of a platform for Trump as he contests election results. That's not a very alarming sentiment for the press to express. Some people said some dumb things about 9/11 on the call, but still, I didn't hear anything eyebrow raising.

So, this is what Veritas chose to lead with. They've got more drops coming, starting in the next minute or two, but I would presume they led with their best foot forward. My best guess, they blew their wad too early. Should've lurked on CNN calls for months, collected some nice bombs, and dropped them strategically. Instead, O'Keefe hasn't done the Right any favors here. It's embarrassing.

And hey, here's hoping this comment will age really badly in like, ten minutes.

Edit: OH GOD THEY GOT JEFF ZUCKER PRAYING TO SATAN ON TAPE

Oh wait nevermind I listened again and it was just as uninteresting as the first tape

It never ceases to amaze me how cynical and identitarian the media has become. Breaks my heart, really. Good journalism is invaluable to a healthy society.

I couldn't even get back to the site in a normal Firefox window, could in private mode, couldn't log in though. Had to open Chrome for the first time in a century, Google is already uploading all my telemetry and porn preferences to the NSA. But at least I got through.

We really need to program more dialog options for the NPCs.
