Even something as innocent as the cop saying "he really deserved it huh?" If you agree, you just victim blamed your victim, and this fact will be used against you in court. People have no idea how much trouble seemingly innocent conversations with cops can cause. Shut up and lawyer up.
100% the victim talked to the police, and incriminated himself somehow. Especially in a liberal paradise like NYC, never talk to the police after a self defense shooting. The only words out of your mouth should be "LAWYER" and "I do not consent to any searches or seizures". Then you shut your mouth. Don't talk to the cops, the media, your family, your friends. Let your lawyer do all the talking.
I watch a lot of police body cam footage. I would say 75% of female cops are worthless and seem to panic when in a fight, pull their sidearm and shoot when they thought they had a Tazer, or just freeze up like the cop here. The other 24% seem reasonably competent. The reality is we only need female cops to pat down women to prevent lawsuits.
