As long as the violence is not too bloody it should be ok. They really liked some Bud Spencer & Terence Hill movies, as well as some Jackie Chan stuff. As for horror it should not be gory of course, but being chased by a somewhat scary monster and similar should be ok too.

Nightdive Studios has been pretty solid in their work, in my experience.

Have played both at least a dozen times each, great games! Tactics is not the best, but you might enjoy that too.
