Having just completed medical after about 5 hours of just wandering around, they get the art-style and the enemies right. Ammo is always scarce though so it's not like Bioshock where you're almost always at full.
So far so good. The Cyber sections are a little overwhelming at first, because you aren't told what you're even trying to accomplish while shit shoots at you, but once you figure that out it's no big deal. It feels like a lot of care and attention was put into it. The delays really seemed like they were used with great caution to get the game really primed and ready. Plus, Ultrawide support. Always a net positive.
That's good to see, I can understand him being worried because more often than not 'delay, delay, delay' usually means they've run out of time and are getting desperate.
You are correct. It is usually a bad thing. And it didn't help that Nightdive has been so damn hush hush about it. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if most people don't even realize the fucking think ACTUALLY released. ATM it's not even breaking 6k on steam's players.
But that's the difference from those other devs. It's Nightdive. They have a really good track record so far.
I still have the original, on CD, and so far have cleared Medical, still working on Research. Picking up everything I can, and vaporizing what I cannot use to exchange for credits.
This is not a fast game, for those who have not played it. It will take a good while to beat it.
So far have only heard good things about it.
Yay, another game I want but will just be added to a large pile to be played.
Just be glad there's still a few shining examples that manages to outshine some of the endless trash.
This game has spent 7 years in Dev Hell.

This worth a shit? I’ve been kind of worried because it’s been delayed so much.

I wasn't planning to get it right away (usually wait for sales) but Gman's video got me hyped, so I'll have a review by this weekend. :P

Been looking forward to this quite a bit.
It looks good.
Unfortunately, $40 seems like the new normal for sub-AAA new releases.
