I thought it was mostly a joke of a movie

Understandable. It most definitely isn't. John Boorman was trying to do something different and unique and he got the "hurr durr Connery is wearing a speedo" treatment for decades for it. I'll take Zardoz over the millionth soulless CGI slop from Marvel any day.

I think Zardoz is inspired by the Wizard of Oz.

Shhhhhh! You're spoiling it (the film's own opening monologue does spoil it a bit).

And by the way I've found this site to be useful for getting decent film recommendations:

Yeah I agree. It's a huge disappointment, as you say. I got dogpilled in the SOTF Steam forum for wanting it to be better.

Eh, I see it going the other way on Steam just as much, i.e. overly enthusiastic fans in the forums pouncing on the mildest and justified criticisms of a game while making endless excuses for devs. I experienced personally with the Long Dark and Sons of the Forest.

In case anyone is curious, this is the "well known white supremacist" Jared Taylor in an interview on the ABC news radio show "Uncomfortable":

Check out Machiavelli's Discourses on Livy. That and The Prince really should be read together.

It's the anti-All Quiet on the Western Front.

Erich Marie-Remarque served in combat a relatively short time before he was wounded and exited World War I, was an avowed pacifist, and spent much of his life living abroad outside of Germany.

Ernst Junger,on the other hand, fought for over three years in numerous battles, was wounded multiple times, and received Germany's highest award for valor. He utterly rejected pacifism and although recognized the horrible carnage of modern war he also appreciated it's capacity for adventure and personal, even transcendent growth through adversity. You'll see all of that in Storm of Steel. Just the type of book you'll never see assigned in high school literature class.

Some of Junger's fiction is quite good but rather unknown in the States, like the Glass Bees.

Teaser: a Roman consul commanding an army of slaves offers freedom in an imminent battle against the Carthaginians for each man who comes back with the head of a slain enemy.

The slaves are overenthusiastic once battle starts and become too busy trying collect and hold onto lopped of heads while fighting is still continuing. It nearly costs them the battle until the Roman commanders correct the behavior.

Livy's The War with Hannibal

Reject modern sources, embrace ancient ones.

You might be interested in this guy. Tons of videos on the history of the peoples of England from a decidedly non-woke historian.

For what it's worth, I haven't read anything in the past 2+ years published prior to this book from 1965:

https://www.amazon.com/Oxford-History-American-People/dp/0195000307

Highly recommend it if you're looking for a broad history of North America up to the early 1960s. Read it simultaneously with a more recent American history book for an "enlightening" experience.

Many people are commenting on the need to find older sources, as they can be more reliable and honest. But you have to be careful with that too. People like Franz Boas wrote nearly a hundred years ago and he polluted anthropology with his nonsense way back then. The field hasn't recovered and now he is considered a "father" of anthropology.

Try this reading a physical copy of this:

while listening to it on this:

It's not free but it greatly improved my acquisition compared to Duolingo.

It is what values an individual holds.

Sounds great but this breaks down at group level, as most groups tribal and will pursue their own tribal interest vis a vis other groups. Individuality as a philosophical concept is a rather uniquely Western concept anyway, and that should clue you into the limit of its scope.

A white female who was born in America descended from European stock but votes for Dems who push reparations for Blacks and open borders letting in illegals is absolutely toxic to the survival of the nation.

Agreed. That's why they shouldn't have the right to vote under any circumstances.

You White nationalists don't understand that Whites can also be parasites if they harm the nation by supporting terrible policies.

I think they understand that. But they also understand implementing smart socioeconomic or political policies is difficult in a so-called representative democracy filled with competing racial and ethnic groups that aren't particularly interested in Western values of meritocracy or fairness or liberty for all.

Vermont is a solid blue state that is also demographically a White supermajority.

Vermont is a really nice place. Clean, organized, friendly, high trust. There's a reason for that and it has nothing to do with politics alone. Scale that up to a country and that's a place I want to live in. Liberalism, love it or hate it, only has a real shot in an overwhelmingly white country. Actual white nationalist like Jared Taylor have said that white nationalism isn't necessarily right or left wing anyway.

You cannot blame all of America's problems on non-Whites

That's true, and I don't know, but my above comments I think support why non-whites are part of the problem. But yes unfettered liberalism, unless its moored to some heavy race realism like it was over a hundred years ago, will eventually explode in the face of white people.

Whites are in the majority in the US, not South Africa

For now, barely. And that is rapidly changing every year.

As stated in other contexts, the Greek gods ruled over the entire world, not just ancient Greece.

That's not quite how Greeks conceptualized it. It's counter-intuitive to us today but they were comfortable with other peoples' deities being separate and different than their own pantheon yet equally valid and deserving of respect.

They are called the Greek gods because the Greeks worshiped them, not because they were ethnically Greek.

And yet every time the Greeks portrayed their own gods, they are depicted as looking like Greeks.

Clown world, indeed.

What is the point of a nation that does not work to benefit the tribe that comprises it?

Some (many?) libertarians think the idea of nation is an evil and unnecessary detriment to free markets. In other words, just a different flavor of globalist.
