There is so much here I can't format it. Feel free to grab a link and repost it to make the conversation easier

It's going to be a nothing burger because I've watched it happen multiple times and in the same way with the same stereotypical responses.

This reads like every tempest in a teapot that happened when I worked in utah. We even have someone posting about the mountain meadows massacre.

Lore is such a weird thing. We've had so many youtubers who explore Lore as a full time job it's hard to not look.

On the other hand, I remember in about 2002-2005 Nintendo talked about story being a big thing. They meant the feel of the exploration and level design stuff like Metroidvanias are fun because of the story being told as you play, not just the text boxes. The same with Phantasy Stars and old RPGs. The problem was they meant more than just cut scenes. Even today we have 'game designers' who basically have interactive cut scenes at best. Walking simulators and text readers abound. Many want games to be just like movies, but you press a button every now and then.

Breath of the Wild felt like perfect exploration storytelling in my mind. Same with many GTAs. It's not rh story of the creator, it's the story fo what you watched and did.

Reminds me of when I met a car salesman while talking about God. He thought I was quite rude, I thought he was selling a lemon not God.

A lot of this seems like tradition, followed by numbers. So long as it sounds complex, but the car is nice it seems doable. Taking your kid out to get his first car is promoted as a right of passage. The nicer the car, the more perceived power you have.

Ghostbusters for Commodore 64. I loved upgrading my equipment by making money. Someone made an updated version in 2006, but it was part of the PC GAMER banana download service, so I doubt it's still up.

The Goemon series. I know a guy who is making a semi museum peace that explains the culture and jokes on a side screen for emulation. The UI is set up, but he's having a hard time getting the ROM to work.

There used to be a Scratch like design program called Sims Play or something. One guy made a ninja sword slashing side scroller with it. Another game likely lost to time.

There's a guy called Red Wizard on Twitter who wrote a book about SNES RPGs. It made me realize I wanted to play a lot of them and how many of them have been forgotten like that Illusion of Gaia.

It's amazing how often giftedness is viewed as some kind of mental illness. I remember people nearly demanding I be autistic or ADHD. Nah, just understood it quickly and was bored.

They've got something on their mind and can't talk about it?

Most of the comps are being used to train the newer iteration.

Yeah, don't do that. I love watching those.

Honestly, I wish companies like Universal and Disney had people in charge of housing. They set high standards and constantly inspect. If anything goes badly, they'll test and rebuild if they have to. If there are six requirements for a building and you only need to follow one, most builders will follow a half assed one. The big theme park guys will aim for all six. It's not perfect, but it's way better than what we have outside of it.

On the other hand, there is a lot of ego involved.

Housing has been a fubar for a while. Most companies are actually part of one big one. Any attempts to make cheaper housing gets stopped by governments, or remade by the housing company at a larger price. Tiny Homes seem to be following that line right now.

It's good to feel useful. Thank you.

I'm actually compiling as many links as I can right now because I am getting a new phone and all the links are on tabs on my old phone. It's a bit daunting since I have 2,200+. I have figured out a method to make it easier, but my goodness that's a lot.

I think that's why AI is costing so much. It's not the personal or even company use, but the government contracts. Elon Musk said a few months back that even he is amazed how many things he's invested in are starting to work together.

I've over watched Mystery Inc, which seems to be permanently on Netflix, or my dvd collection. I want some Be Cool Scooby Doo because the second season can not be found

It is also getting a ton of cartoon network and Nickelodeon stuff soon. Almost the entire Scooby Doo catalog is coming, but not here yet.

I check every day.

From what I've been told and have read, there are many half life 3s that didn't make it. Hard to update when it's constantly being killed.

2
AlfredicEnglishRules 2 points ago +2 / -0

I say Half Life 3 will happen first.

Sorry, no real news about tendies. Dr Pepper has tic tacs now.

Well yeah, I'm from places that are cloudy. When I did work in Phoenix I actually feared for my life because of how pale I was. I've often had to get base only when doing stage makeup because of how pale I was.

Shade is my friend and the big bright thing in the sky is some kind of ancient Lovecraftian monster that feeds and kills us at the same time. I don't know how I survive the Florida sun.

Yeah, that's why many of my cousins who moved from the eastern European block really don't have a social media presence. As one says, 'it sounds like Stasi'

Yeah, if I want to get a full thread archived I have to use a few different sites for the same thing.

No, I have friends in Iran. They're posting videos to each other and me. It's mostly from phones.
