No. The plight of poor white boys is increasingly commented on, and finally being recognised as an issue by everybody except Twitter and the racist victim groups.

Which is actually helping make them look stupid and causing a lot of other people to distrust them.

Today's report has been distressing all those victim groups because it states that there is not systemic racism, and that you need to look at the underlying causes of disparity rather than assuming it's all down to racism.

It's only fair to apply that same approach to disadvantaged white boys. Understand and address the underlying issues - e.g. I would guess that factors include income, famliy support, home life stability, attitude of teachers, feminisation of the school curriculum and yes, elements of racism (i.e. opportunities being focused on other racial groups).

Pretending it's all due to racism will fix at most one of those.

They continue to complain despite it being pointed out that they actually negotiated higher pay than the men's team.

I fully support a 'winner takes all' play-off between the two.

There is no such a thing as a normal person who gets off to mutilating themselves

Whatever makes you think that most transsexuals (i.e. the group that consider surgery) get off on it? They're seeking to address a serious issue that makes them unhappy, not get off.

You look a bit silly trying to dismiss a stereotype by using an ignorant stereotype.

That's the difference between them and us, we'd never make a black man guilty or a white man not guilty purely as racial vengeance.

That's only true if you're talking racists and people with integrity.

If your 'them and us' is racial in nature then you're as racist as they are.

The European Medicines Agency's (EMA) said that after an investigation the AstraZeneca vaccine was "safe and effective" and not linked to an increased risk of blood clots.

It's almost as though 37 out of 17 million recipients of the AZ vaccine have had blood clots, a lower number than would normally be expected within a comparable population.

Professor Holme does not come out of this with credibility.

Actually, no. If you read the linked article they are going to record when a crime is deemed to have been motivated by sex or gender.

This is actually a vicious blow to the feminists - they've been demanding a gendered law, whereas this one can be used against them.

I have a far better response. If they mock 'not all men' just reply with this:

Not all rape accusations are false.

I have to be condescending, it's the only way to get through to some people.

You know, the type that make weird silly comparisons between women and nazis.

Oh dear. You do not know what I stand for.

Here, let me help: I stand for reason, logic and common sense. Which is why I pointed out the absence of all three in the unhinged idiocy someone posted.

I don't think you're all stupid. Just people that post idiocy like that.

It's a paper. It's discussing a vaccine that was produced by a large team of people.

If you disagree with the paper, explain why. If you think it's flawed, articulate your reasons.

The gender of its authors is completely entirely and utterly fucking irrelevant.

How to fight against racism, a brief primer:

1 - Don't be racist.

Sorry, you need to try again.

The EU is used as a scapegoat for policies that the UK bureaucrats implement on their own

This was one of the reasons several people voted to leave the EU. Now the UK politicians have to take ownership of their own policies.

That's a non-issue. If the fish don't get caught the fishing grounds recover their stocks; hardly a bad thing.

(If you meant fishery protection vessels, they have more than enough - board 2-3 EU boats, confiscate their 'fishing equipment' including nets, sonar, freezers, etc, and the rest will go 'oh heck' anyway.)

Yeah, look: Attack the idiocy of her comment but don't be a racist about it.

your

you do

your

I said to attack the argument. You're not even trying. You keep making baseless comments about things you want to think I do or believe in. You're wrong.

You were wrong which is why I engaged. You stubbornly insist on being intentionally wrong so I'm going to disengage. I shall merely finish with a simple statement that needs no context, that infers no other viewpoints, activities, behaviours or beliefs, and that you need to understand: Sexting is not consent.

ActualAdult 0 points ago +1 / -1

I'd have to be a compete and utter moron to make a big issue about the self-evident "sexting is not consent" to the extent that it destroys my credibility and people stop listening to me regarding actual issues that do need to be addressed.

The broader context also includes a massive drop in rape prosecutions and demands that rape victims shouldn't have to provide their phones or social media details to police. If the guidance is "acquire that evidence but use it sensibly" then I consider that a massive improvement on the situation at the start of the year.

You keep addressing arguments that I'm not making, claiming views that I don't hold, pretending I'm presenting a position that I'm not. I guess you're right, you're not attacking me.

Here's a hint for you: Win an argument by attacking the argument. Do not try and win it by attacking the person making the argument.

You're failing so badly that you're attacking a person you've devised in your head. You're not getting a defence against those attacks from me because they're nothing to do with me. You're holding an argument with your perceived bogeyman.

Maybe he'll come and respond.

You're making bad assumptions and launching continual unfounded accusations based on them. You're failing to understand simple points. You're getting angry that someone online dared to disagree with you, and that they used a ridiculous analogy to demonstrate how ridiculous your position is.

Incidentally, claims are evidence. Not necessarily good evidence, but evidence nonetheless.

why is a woman's word proof of an issue

I haven't said that it is. I've merely said that sexts are not consent.

actual physical proof of a positive interaction is worthless

I haven't said that an amicable exchange of text messages is worthless as evidence. I've said that it does not indicate consent.

Because it does not indicate consent.

I don't know why this is so difficult a concept for you.

your cult

What cult? Stop attacking me by making wild spurious claims about things you think I believe in or support. You're being silly.

This isn't about minimum wage, it's about the minimum wage for H1B workers, which is substantially higher.

The H1B scheme is officially there to allow recruitment of foreign workers that bring skillsets unavailable to a company hiring locally. So if H1B is implemented and applied correctly, the workers on those visas have skills that local Americans lack, so it's very reasonable to expect that they'd be paid more than minimum wage.

The argument that the cost of those workers is unsustainable should be turned around and countered with a suggestion that if the University of Michigan (and others) can't train Americans to do those jobs for less, then the H1B wages at the higher rate are indeed fair.

ActualAdult -1 points ago +1 / -2

I'm honest enough to step back and read the guidance, understand it, and understand the reasons behind it, then discuss them sanely instead of attacking other people online.

Let's keep this simple: Sexting is not consent to sex.

SEXTING IS NOT CONSENT

In case you didn't catch that, sexting is not consent.

I hope that provides adequate clarity regarding my position.

Since all of your message is clearly directed at someone else I shall ignore it.
