Once again the BBC are attempting their own version of a hit job, as it makes out that a leader of a country being calm and collected and not attempting to send his nation into a panic is a bad thing. It’s also doubly hilarious as when Boris Johnson did the complete opposite and said that everyone would lose a family member or two and genuinely caused panic, the media were pretty much castigating him for it. Now they’re trying to make out that actually that was what Trump should have done.
Of additional note is the fact that it dives into a completely unrelated matter of BLM shit as well, just to really try and hammer home the fact that Orange Man Bad.

I wouldn't characterize what he did as "downplaying". What the media and his political opponents did when he instituted the travel ban, that was downplaying.
And telling people to go to chinatown and celebrate the chinese new year in a jam-ass packed parade.
And tying everything up with a bullshit impeachment.
Your impeachments seem to have no real teeth, though. I guess Nixon could have said "fuck you all" and kept his job ... because of him, I'd always assumed impeachment was like a vote of non-confidence.

The BBC is a joke at this point. The prestige of their name is gone and now seems to represent what they're constantly sucking off. They've gone so far left with their views and preaching of their ideology that even the defund BBC movement is actually beginning to gain more momentum. I sincerely hope it succeeds, too.
Even with all the riots, cities on fire, looting, murder, assaults, rape, crime, intimidation, etc. etc., that they're perpetuating they still don't care and continue to incite more division daily. The question that has to be asked is: how do we hold them accountable? Is there even a way? We have Coumo staging live interviews, lie after lie being printed daily, all because rich solipsistic liberal assholes can't accept that not everyone agrees with them. I'm not even looking to limit their right to free speech or their opinions either, but their madness is literally making western society crumble around us.
They've said it before themselves, "freedom of speech does not mean freedom of consequences." Do we seriously need to create regulations that enforce heavy fines for press outlets that surreptitiously lie on purpose in order to promote their agenda or something? Hell, we all know mistakes happen, but that's not at all what's happening right now. Right now is purely vindictive and malicious at a core level.
I'm genuinely astonished at how ridiculously effective the methods that Bezmenov discussed are. Even when obvious truth is rammed in their face, they completely deny it, or misrepresent it, to such a degree that it's almost inconceivable. I'm not even sure how we can correct such a problem when they're all so blatantly brain-cucked.
We've known for a while that the media has worked the public into a piss covered frenzy. There was a fantastic study done in July that elucidated precisely how fucked up the panic the medias causing is.

Why is this bad? All of the relevant numbers indicate a great overreaction. These people are truly NPCs, they never update their narratives, and always works of whatever the initial spin was, even when it has been proven to be false, or at best greatly exaggerated.

Because China is the environmentalist's nightmare that we were talking about in the 60s-80s. It happened, just not to us. We moved it to Asia, and there it is. Thick smog, poisoned water, people eating stuff our dogs would turn their noses up at, humans needing masks because of pollution and for the exact same reason intensively-farmed livestock are given antibiotics* (because crowding encourages rapid spread of disease). People falling dead is probably an everyday thing, and no one made note of it until January. Probably to deliberately scare us! I bet those images were not just allowed to get out, but seeded by CCP itself, and that Chen guy was WORKING FOR THEM and pretending to be a dissident.
