SCOTUS rules that the head of the executive branch is, in fact, the head of the executive branch. (archive.is)

non-archive: https://www.cnbc.com/2026/06/29/supreme-court-trump-slaughter-ftc.html

Since 1935, The president of the united states did not have the ability to remove executive branch officers (FTC, ATF, USDA, etc) over policy differences. This was a major pillar of the deep state as unelected bureaucrats could not be easily removed. The Supreme Court just ruled that was bullshit.

But the chief justice also pointedly carved out a possible exemption for members of the Federal Reserve from being fired by a president.

Of course he did.

which makes sense at the technical level, because the Federal reserve is not part of the executive branch.

that is a huge problem, but it is a different problem.

If not the President, then who can fire them? Somebody has to be in charge.

The basic problem is Congress made a bunch of executive agencies that are making law. FTC, FCC, EPA, etc don't just enforce law they decide what is legal and illegal with their rulemaking.

That's Congress's job. Just have a committee that does FTC-style rulemaking, then Congress votes and passes the new rules in some omnibus nobody reads, then the Executive branch enforces them. Then the Pres can fire and replace whoever is at FTC, but can't have somebody change the rules on a whim.

A win, certainly. Now let's see if they rule sanely or not on the lie of birthright citizenship.

They'll probably screw us on that one. Their game appears to be ruling in our favor just enough so they have cover to fuck us on the major issues.

I agree entirely. Feels like a slow roll to me. They don't want to win.

Even when Trump wins, like with the Haiti immigrants, he's choosing to not deport. Nobody seems to be on our side

That's the short fake Trump. I'm not even sure the real one is still alive.

Naw.. it can't be that the guy who used to pal around with the Clintons is a liar! He must have been swapped out!

More like one does not habitually lose and regain seven inches of height periodically.

so you're not sure he's alive but you think he's changing heights all the time? that seems.. conflicted.

also: people actually shrink as they age.

no, the truth is, he's a liar, and people bought the lies, and now they need an excuse to protect their egos. fuck that. he's scum. always was. we only had two choices. it's not like I put my faith in him like some retards, i just hoped for the best, but was prepared to be disappointed.

so, to me, there's no question he's the same dude.

so

No, not this thing you made up.

The "Trump" that went on Joe Rogan is barely taller than Rogan, and he's barely not a literal midget. The actual Donald Trump is well above six feet tall.

It's not a question of if.

What matters is clearing the way for the man who will be what Trump is fearmongered to be.

Roberts' defining characteristic is that he's a pussy, so he's not going to want to rule either way.

My prediction is they'll say "under the jurisdiction" means if the government in any way knows they're here. So anybody Biden let in and signed up for benefits gets birthright, anybody claiming fake asylum, and so on. Only the people who hopped the fence and get paid in cash won't have birthright.

Oh you hopped the fence, got convicted of DUI, then had a baby? It's a citizen because the government knew about you!

It'll be reported by the media as striking down birthright to rile up the lefties, while any illegal will have birthright by saying their asylum claim was "lost in the mail" so the government "should have known" about them.

Contrary of course to the literal stated and documented intent of the guy who wrote it, stating outright that only Americans are under the jurisdiction of the American government.

If they do rule on it, that's just one more obstacle overcome. Blue states and cities may just ignore the ruling, then Trump may post a mean tweet, and nothing will change.

Between that, clarifying that "in America" means "physically present within the borders of the United States of America", and ruling that "temporary" means "not permanent", it hasn't been too bad. Ruling that "Election Day" is actually Election Week is pretty bad though.

Who cares? Trump has lost the plot. Everyone good has been fired and replaced with absolute coal since the beginning of the year.

Like I'm supposed to be happy zog gets their picks hired faster and easier?

the long-term win here is that deep state agents can now easily be replaced. this means the right president will be much more effective.

I'm not holding my breath. Highly doubt we'll ever see a "right president" in our lifetimes.
