I don’t understand how Euros tough it out two weeks a year. I spent half a night in a hotel room with a busted AC unit during the summer and ended up dragging myself down to the front desk at like 3 AM so they would change my room. It’s absolutely miserable to be inside unless it’s one of those specially designed rooms like the south used to have, and even then it’s only slightly bearable.
ironically, here in the rural zones ppl, more and more are installing ac because they have exess electricity from solar panels anyways, while the city-folk who would need them the most just suffer in silence while smugly proclaiming how superiour they are.
Europe never used to get that hot. From my travels it basically peaks in the 80s with nights in the 60s typically. These heat waves are getting more frequent unfortunately.
the sun is angry we need global communism and worse living conditions than feudal serfs for you while WE live better than any king in history could dream of.
I'm not saying install communism, I just said its easier to deal with the heat since its less frequent than in North America where the weather is more extreme. You can even see that in the data you cited. During WW2 Europe suffered through crippling winters, far harsher than they experience now. Has nothing to do with global warming.
That's complete bullshit. Hot summers are nothing unusual. The only thing that changed is climate hysteria and measuring temperatures in the middle of the concrete jungle to fuel that hysteria. Or pretending that clogged up drains, insufficient sewers, neglecting flood protections and building houses in the flood zones of a river has nothing to do with so called "record floods".
measuring temperatures in the middle of the concrete jungle to fuel that hysteria.
That's called the urban heat island which absolutely skews data.
That being said..there is data in the undeveloped areas showing a general creep upward in averages. And that is likely because the the earth is moving away from the ice age period.
This is obviously because not everyone signed the Paris Climate Accords. Someone wheel Greta out.
The actual reason? Because Paris is filled with so many browns and blacks now that they concentrate the heat from the sun into the localized area rather than reflecting it back.
Speaking from a British perspective, I think most Europeans' outlook isn't that 'the American approach to summer is wrong', or some sense of moral superiority through suffering. I would love to have A/C, it's the cost of running it that prevents more people from having it installed. You have to remember, European energy prices are frequently 5x US energy prices, sometimes even higher.
Now, the reasons for THAT are stupid, self-sabotaging 'green energy' policies, and being belligerent with our nearest energy supplying neighbours.
To be fair it was kind of expected when they made Algeria part of France and set up the foreign legion. The foreign legion gives you french citizenship after 5 years.
gotta make all the maps blood red, better make sure no one sees the ones from 20 years ago with the same temperatures treated as normal summer weather.
They held off green leftism long enough to build a ton of nuclear power plants and they still got overwhelmed and lost the argument. You can't ever let them get a foothold.
Time to start a pool on how long until the Dems try to ban air conditioning. The feminists have already decreed that it's sexist.

That's straight up false. For Paris specifically:
Its all climate propaganda. Oh noes it's hot out, better install communism.

There is data. Sure. What data though? We know that "scientists" really like to make the data fit their narrative.

I thought it was because all of the fires.

France is a third world country
I wouldn't even consider them part of Europe anymore with all the niggers and arabs that infest their soil
To be fair it was kind of expected when they made Algeria part of France and set up the foreign legion. The foreign legion gives you french citizenship after 5 years.
Imagine 109.. with feminists, jeets and africans all in the same room.
Paris Today, June 24: 42°C / 107°F high Tomorrow, June 25: 42°C / 108°F high
Malaysia all-time record 40.1°C / 104.2°F at Chuping, Perlis, on April 9, 1998.
That's pretty hot, but what's the humidity? That's all that really matters.
It's all about eco propaganda. Europeans get bombarded with climate and eco propaganda 24/7.
gotta make all the maps blood red, better make sure no one sees the ones from 20 years ago with the same temperatures treated as normal summer weather.
I can't enjoy sex in that kinda heat without A/C but everyone knows the French are dirty.
I don't know what it says that combating heat strokes/death is an American concept
How many days per year is France hot?
A non-zero number is all that is required to justify AC.
