He's a little shit, but as far as I know, the only crimes he committed were civic disturbances for personal profit.
Will he improve? No. Will he atone? No. But some might. And the law is generalist in nature.

Six months hard labor in a prison full of prisoners that hate him on top of already being sequestered for some time in a country that hates him even more than every other non-east African country, and being exiled afterward doesn't seem overly lenient.
