But I have heard multiple times from people who are cops themselves or who are closely related to one. Cops, in general, treat black people with kid gloves. No one wants their life ruined by being the guy shown on the news as having shot a black guy even if any and all evidence shows it was justified. And I believe them because that is the logical and reasonable course of action to take on an individual level no matter how bad the consequences are on a societal level.
I don't have the exact statistics at hand, but this is why when you normalize deaths at the hands of law enforcement for race based violent crime rates, it turns out whites are more likely to be killed.

But I see your point. Some large percentages of certain races may be envious and truly would want to throw away their identity to be white. A lot of the behavior seems like jealous behavior. There's no way to know for sure.
