Reminder the richest generation in western history (boomers) became that way because they grew up and started their careers in a period with the lowest immigration rate in modern American history.

It’s not just fiat, it’s the line go up insanity. That’s why boomers mass imported their retirement plan instead of having kids. It’s why Obama redefined the most profitable age for the government to be 8 years old instead of birth. Fiat is a symptom, mass immigration is the root. Fiat would have failed a long time ago if we weren’t mass importing cheap labor for 35 years now to pretend we have gdp growth.

It's not just lowest immigration, it was after a population decrease. Everyone's quality of life goes up when corps are forced to pay higher wages because of low population. We NEED a world war.
The best time to be alive was after ww2. The second best time to be alive was after the Black Plague.
We don't need a war to accomplish that, repatriation would drop population sharply. Also, post WW2 was only a good time to be alive in the US, everyone else was recovering from having their industrial centers bombed flat.
This isn't simply about reducing population, it's about eliminating fuck heads.
The people coming back from the wars were mostly the ones who could carry their load, survive hardship, and get things done. If you eliminate them and leave the fuck heads, as we're doing now, it's not going to work.
The same applies to immigration. It sort of worked when they actually were taking our jobs; when the only immigrants bring high demand skills, the economy thrives. When they're all low skill welfare parasites, everything collapses.
The people most likely to survive a war are those who are too unhealthy and incompetent to drafted. The reason the British are known for having bad teeth is because for generations tooth health and alignment were of high priority.
The incompetents didn't reproduce. Everyone coming back from actually serving got married and had half a dozen kids, the defective who stayed behind were rejected because they didn't have this "it's nice to be nice" mentality.

There's research that shows that child car seat regulation helped suppress the fertility rate because the average commuter car is not able to accommodate 3 car seats in the back seat. Thus, some parents decide to stop at 2 due to not being able or willing to upgrade to a van.
Feminism crashed the birth rate. There's no reality in which women spend 75% of their fertility window not having children and the birthrate remains constant. Mass immigration coincides with and probably exacerbates this problem, but you don't see highly religious and/or patriarchal peoples failing to have children because they're "poor".
Iran has a falling birthrate too. And feminism isnt really allowed there.

I’ve been to Mexico a few times for work. What you will often see is a tiny sedan that is meant to seat 5, stuffed with 6 kids in the back and 2 in the front plus a driver. The clown car meme is very real.

AI does plenty of jobs already. Most customer support now puts you through to an AI before anything else. Amazon uses robots in their warehouses. Websites use AI images instead of hiring artists. Many similar cases abound.
No, they can't. Companies are cutting positions (some of which were already redundant) and trying to claim that AI is replacing workers. It isn't, the jobs just don't get done.
They can float this for a while but it's not sustainable and they'll have to backpedal within the next few years.
Time will tell. Remember your prediction when the jobs don't come back but continue to get cut over the next few years.
