The only thing "conspiracy theorist" means is being six months ahead of the news. Otherwise, "it's happening, and it's a good thing" wouldn't have become a meme in the first place.
Seems like it's longer than 6 months. It took them years to acknowledge the lab that Covid originated in. I was discussing it in meat space in April 2020.
Conspiracies aren't real.
It is physically impossible for two or more people to conspire to do something nefarious, and if you believe otherwise, you're obviously crazy.
This never comes in discussion with my friends that happen to be mostly on the left although they've moved more to the right in the past couple of years.
Thing is, everyone has conspiracy theories and your RL friends have already told you theirs. Only online can you get called a conspiracy theorist.
I think it's less about real life versus the internet and more about how much a conspiracy theory aligns with prevailing thought.
There were no problems regurgitating the Donald Trump pee tape conspiracy theory when they were bombarded with it from multiple media outlets. everyone else believed it, so it was okay to believe it yourself.
at the same time, if you were someone who asserted the Wuhan lab leak theory, which made tons of sense given the evidence, you were a conspiracy nut Job because people were bombarded with media outlets telling them it wasn't true.
Even then it was online and the media. I've not had one case where anyone thought that the Wuhan lab leak theory made you a nut Job. Even those that did not believe it thought it was a reasonable idea to have.
I hate to break it to you, but there are troves of evidence dug up spanning multiple teams, multiple cultures, and multiple scientists. that one is likely just true.

We're just getting articles on myocarditis and heart attacks from the vaxx NOW.
They recently allowed the news of children being killed outright by The Jab. More kids died from The Jab than died from Covid-19.84, it's official.
Any products as deadly as the "vaccines" would never have made it to the public & these should not have either.
It becomes much easier to respond when you realize that 'disinformation', 'conspiracy theories', 'Russian agent' and 'racism' are synonymous.
tldw: the proper response is:
How antisemitic of you.

Before they changed the definition, it was possible to conspire to throw a surprise party.
In another world, George Carlin was an incredible turbo-racist: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VAFd4FdbJxs&pp=ygUiZ2VvcmdlIGNhcmxpbiBjb25zcGlyYWN5IGludGVydmlldw%3D%3D

Ah yes, like the conspiracy "theory" of evolution. Evolution THEORY. A bunch of people gathered 'round to push it. Conspiracy theorist!
Theory means fact in most situations.

That's the point.
If I am wrong, then you call me a liar.
