R/Australia today : “don’t look back in anger” - thread immediately locked. Or “praise the muslim hero” and “more gun control”. Those are your only allowed discussions (old.reddit.com)

How much more gun control could they actually have?

The kind where anyone who even thinks about a gun is arrested within the hour is probably close to their ideal.

They probably want to prosecute the guy who took the gun off the muslim terrorists

I was unironically worried he would be prosecuted if he fired on the terrorist.

we need a call of duty- australia edition:

the terrorists run around killing as usual.

The other side is only allowed to hide and pay taxes.

The other side gets a boomerang (singular, shared amongst the team) and jars of Vegemite.

Can we add a didgeridoo that shoots sedative darts, or is that too aggressive?

Didgeridoos are not even close to that useful IRL.

And said terrorist retreated back to procure a shotgun after losing his rifle.

I don't necessarily blame the hero. Apparently, he didn't know how operate the rifle. But the gun ban in Australia has led to some very retarded, pussified thinking: that guns are magical "I win" sticks that magically force whoever you point them at to surrender.

My first thought was the same, they will prosecute the guy because he hindered a nice muslim doing his work. If he was white he would be arrested already!

It’s not about gun control at this point, they’ve already dealt with that issue for the most part. I feel like it’s something a lot bigger. it’s probably about rolling out their Palantir linked surveillance grid and an early form of the social credit system…..In the early stages of the rollout, they’ll probably pretend it’s just for public safety, like for preventing another mass casualty event, so they’ll say AI is going to be used to identify “dangerous individuals” by scouring everyone’s digital footprint, which will calculate a threat assessment score for each person. If that citizen’s threat score rates too high because they publicly espouse hatred for jews, fags, immigrants, or if that person has a lot of anti-gov posts on social media, or that person protests government policy IRL, they’ll be detained until some jew psychologist clears that person for release, which might only take a day, or potentially years depending on how big of a threat you are to the jewish occupied government. The main targets of this pre-crime system will be people like Thomas Sewell, probably a bunch of his organization’s members too, and they won’t be released for many years, if ever. Jews are looking to remove ALL people who they know are a threat to their power, any charismatic right wingers who show leadership abilities will be the first to go, the men who could potentially organize a resistance movement against the roll out of this new tyranny. Once jews get rid of the right wing leaders and other anti-ZOG citizens, it’s going to scare the shit out of everyone else so much that they won’t dare speak out against what’s happening publicly, let alone think about organizing a resistance movement IRL..

Deport the Muslims, deport the Jews, repeal all gun laws.

Incidentally, the rifle one of the attackers were using is a Beretta BRX1. It is a straight pull bolt action rifle, and was introduced in 2021. How it got into Australia is a very interesting question, I think.

If a fucking island surrounded by water has issues with contraband getting in, it's easy to believe the Powers That Be™ wanted it to happen, doesn't it?

Well, I'm kinda "professionally" curious, as it were, because I am pretty well versed on firearm laws in the US, but only superficially in Australia. I mean, I know about their ban, and all, but I know the ban isn't all firearms, that some people still have hunting rifles and shotguns. I don't know if new stuff like that Beretta is allowed, or not.

It is legal in NSW, probably about to change.

They (father & son) apparently owned 6 guns legally. The Beretta BRX1 is even legal in Canada! And we have Draconian laws easily as bad as Australia's.

It's almost as if gun control laws were always a bandage on an underlying cultural sickness.

It's almost as if gun control laws did nothing to the underlying stress, so it just keeps getting worse at the fringes.

sigh

It's legal with whatever their licensing system is. Or, is until next week.

If they had the connections to actually smuggle illegal guns into Australia, I presume they would have gotten proper combat weapons. When Islamists murder people in Europe, they have full auto AKs as often as not.

Muslim hero

Was that actually confirmed? Twitter's saying he's a Lebanese Maronite Christian.

To the surprise of no-one, the "muh context, wait for all the facts!" side saw the name Ahmed and broke the light barrier to post "see? a Muslim stopped the shooting! all Muslims aren't bad!!1!"

He came from Syria (reportedly) where he was a policeman and had served in a Guards unit. He was a fruit seller with a family.
Maybe he was originally from Lebanon? Time will tell.

Aren’t Australian government and politicians pathetic hypocrites? On the one hand they allowed and celebrated leftists, muslim pro Palestine protests and now they „morn“ when some Muslims did what the protestors were asking for.
