Came across another good substack today on my internet travels:

We trapped these kids in an ideological straight jacket against which they were not allowed to resist. Against which resisting made them evil. Then we gasped in horror when they aged out of our stewardship and decided that, actually, they’d had rather enough of all that.
Not to be hyperbolic, but what we did to these guys was something like abuse. What we did to their childhoods was something like theft. And we would have no trouble - none at all - understanding that if it had been any other group on the receiving end. We caused them to come of age in a world that hated and blamed them, and that never missed an opportunity to remind them of just how much.
10 years. For 10 years, we did this.
We also ruthlessly punished any liberal voices that dared extend them comfort or encouragement. Thus ensuring that the only supportive voices they could hear from were the toxic ones who’d made “cancel-proof” edge-lording their whole brand.
I know this is a bit long, but I think it is very good.
I like a lot of what he is saying, but something about this really rubs me wrong:
2015 is just when the word "Woke" entered common parlance. It had been going on forever before that, under multiple labels and names. "Woke" was literally people repurposing their own word to mock them, much like Snowflake before it, as they used it relatively often to be "woke to the problem of microaggressions" or some other. For a brief period it was "Intersectionality" which was the time when feminists, negroes and gays realized they hated White Men more than each other and combined forces under the Leftie umbrella.
I've talked before about it, but in my public school decades ago we would have regularly scheduled White Guilt months in Feb/Nov for angry black and Indian dudes to come in and talk about how evil we were for what we did to their ancestors. We'd do little assignments and projects basically cementing it into our brains and apologizing for it all. This wasn't optional, they didn't send home permission slips to attend, it was part of the curriculum and every class would attend. I became an adult significantly before 2015 and I knew at that time that the world hated me for everything I was, and expected me to grovel for existing.
This has been happening for a lot longer than he or really anyone gives it credit for, and its very important to recognize that longevity both in how deep it goes but also in how long it took for people to finally resist. If Trump hadn't won in 2016 and TDS didn't make them turn everything up to 11 in a frothing rage, they'd likely have kept the much more subdued and insidious plan going until it was actually too late for any choices or resistance to matter.
For sure. Prior to woke we were calling them SJWs for years. Prior to that we still knew they were faggots.
They were 'political correctness' and 'PC culture' before that, which goes back to the 70s and 80s, until that term was used to mock them so much they abandoned it.
On that note, I'm tired of conceding language.
They'll always conjure up new words and phrases to disseminate their ideas and we'll always use them to mock and deride That much is a given.
But when they latch onto commonly understood words or our particular parlance to twist and corrupt it, we need to hold onto it much tighter than we have done recently. It's all bold words but soft lines.
that's their holy grail. every chance they get they try to replace common words with themselves, effectively gaslighting the world. for a recent example, look at their insistent use of "democracy" during the Biden administration.
It was definitely ingrained in our government since the 70s.

And before that communists, Marxists, and various other things.
Yeah it’s just Jews
sloppy job Mossad
Yeah, 2013ish was GG, and that wasn't even the first instance. And that was already the kickback to an existing problem since had been ramping up since the mid-late 00's. Really, it was all going downhill ever since we imported the communists and Nazis back in the '40s, and even before that, since we already had sympathizers.
It's been around century at least of the long march through the institutions. Saying this started in 2015 is indeed preposterous.
society has been infected since the french revolution started (and is still happening this very second)
Then you weren't paying attention. They went mask off in 2008 when Obama being in office meant any opposition to their policies was just racism.
I remember my dad, White american, said when he went to college in the 1980s that people would just call him racist to shut him up.
Back then, it didn't feel like you had to pay attention. Politics wasn't such an incessant part of everyday life. Normies could just tune out. During Obama's second term it became harder and harder to do that.
I mean...Days of Rage. The left and their ideology ebbs and flows. They've been an issue since long before the 2010s. GG couldn't have been a pushback against that if it hadn't already been an existing issue.
It depends on what deep end you consider the breaking point.
I was a MRA for a long time, we hit peak feminism sometimes in the mid 00s and that was years after going off the deepend on that front. Someone could say Rodney King was the tipping point for their anti-nigger stances.
The later Obama years was when they finally felt comfortable enough as an Intersectional whole to leave the shadows and stop operating as puppetmasters and could just outright act in your face.
I remember seeing "Ron Paul 2008" everywhere on the internet and in real life. YouTube comments, bumper stickers, laptop cases, in restrooms even. If elections weren't ratfuckedly rigged at every level, I was convinced Paul was going to sweep '08 with how popular he seemed.
It's a long, continuing march; but they really ramped things up between welfare programs and the sexual revolution.
Don't forget sjw.
I picked up on these inconsistencies in behavior from a young age and they gnawed at me as I got older. After getting derided for being the best in my grade academically and refusing to say women are better than men I realized it was all a scam. I was probably 12. This was before 2010
Yeah I was picking up problems with it in middle school myself, though I was certainly too scared to speak up on a lot of the problems, sans the gender one. Plus there was that youthful ignorance of "let people do their thing" regarding a lot of it.
Which is why I take a lot of issue with people acting like "omg, how could we have known it would get this bad? I voted for Obama three times but like I'm so totes on your side now!" It was obvious to a retarded little swamp boy who'd never even been to a city, how could anyone not figure it out?
Go watch a kids cartoon from the early 90's. Captain planet is a good example of totally over the top overt propaganda.
That is a great one, and its also a great example of how the shift happened from "positive indoctrination," as Captain Planet was generally fighting totally unrelateable villains whose evil was laughable over the top, to the modern form where its meant to say "this is you and you are evil!!" in many of their characters.
Which is likely why it feels to many like it just started, because its easier to recognize when its cruel.
