The law cited for the arrest was Scotland's "Abortion Services" act, which completely outlaws any speech within a 200 meter buffer zone of healthcare facilities which might "distress" anyone accessing those services.
It's a pretty ridiculous law. They say it's for the patient's safety, but then why is it exclusively enforced only against anti-abortion protesters?

In at least one UK nation (Might be Scotland?) It is illegal to pray silently in your own home if you live under 200m from an abortion clinic, if it can be seen from the outside.
You might offend someone on their way to kill a baby. So potentially offending someone is worse that killing a baby in a sick, broken society.
