Non profits are the ultimate “Jewish daycare”. It’s often 90% staffed by retarded leftist women who have a vapid sense of self importance from playing pretend savior. The other 10% are the people in on the grift, usually modern “aristocracy”, and pocket 6-7 figures a year while their main “work” is just attending endless charity events (free parties, sports events, vacations, etc). There’s a reason USAID has such an uproar along with NGO scam money, it was all “friends and family” positions created by politicians and bureaucrats so they would never have to actually work a day in their life and live comfortably.
I generally use how much contact information charities require as an effective proxy for determining if a charity is a scam.
The scammers just can't help themselves to selling your information to every huckster on earth and hounding you for more forever.
Generally only smaller churches are willing to take donations without giving out as much information as setting up a margin investment account. Never seen a single secular charity that didn't want enough to sell you down the river.
Donating to the California wildfire victims was especially full of that nonsense.
I apparently have chosen wisely so far, and haven't received any further contact begging for MOAR.
Meanwhile, my grandma has gotten a full mailbox full of charity spam for years.(At least I was able to learn from her mistakes).

Only 18k ever made it into a trucker's tank.
The rest either was refunded or is still in escrow from government lawfare.

No charities through random corporate fucks are a scam
Nonprofits can bloviate about how their general efforts to help could sorta benefit the fire victims.
In that sense, it sounds impossible to sue for charity fraud, even if all the money ended up as salaries to the nonprofit workers.
