Musk was previously sublimating his desire for infinity slave wage engineers in order to fit in with MAGA. Now that Trump’s base has made it clear that they will not abide mass immigration even if it happens to be legal, the globalists in our midsts are outing themselves as traitors.
Musk's brain is permanently stuck on Silicon Valley bullshit, too enamored with what he can do and doesn't spare a thought about the practicalities of someone actually having to live or raise a family under his decisions. He's seething that he can't run for President himself - and it doesn't look like Trump will try to abolish that anytime soon - so he's trying to build his own little army by throwing money at third world engineers to astroturf a political party for him.
Remember, this is the guy who told Americans "fuck your own face" at the prospect of his precious H-1B slave labor being regulated. He'll prattle on about culture wars but he'll turn around and import as many brown people as he wants so long as he can save a few pennies. He wants the American middle class to die.
Its the winning play from his moral perspective
People forget Musk is a transhumanist atheist. For that group of people, hitting space en masse is the win condition. NOTHING ELSE FUCKING MATTERS.
Its difficult to describe the scale at which that's true if you haven't been in that mix.
We have ONE chance as a species. We make it work THIS time, or we all fucking die.
Think of this, you're a nobleman in 1300s Europe. But you know the future. You KNOW what unlocking steam power will mean. You KNOW what it will take to get there. You KNOW that the difference between what you have now, and what you're about to be able to achieve is the difference between hundreds of thousands of people dying of starvation in the mud, and humanity taking the first steps into eternal glory.
Imagine that, and multiply it by a million. The distance between here and the stars is tiny, we mine one ateroid and it means more rare earth metals from one rock than have been excavated in all human history.
You are looking at BILLIONS of years coming down to a few generations of struggle. You HAVE to win. You HAVE to get over that last obstacle.
My friend. Human rights, and the evils of genocide become the concerns of ants at that scale. Elon is alone, unsupported, and is in direct opposition to the concept of Death. You cant expect him to be normal.

That's the long and short of it. I dont actuallu begrudge Elon, in the same way I don't begrudge Putin or Islam in the same way I do Judiasm and Communists.
At their core. They are contrary ideas opposed to me and competitors, real enemies. Thats far more admirable than subversive nastiness. At least it's honest. At least it's a real fight.
