Yeah, as far as I can tell, a large part of the reason we're in the position we're in is because we're the world's reserve currency and it makes more money to print money than it does to actually create wealth.
It would be nice to see the dollar collapse and get out of ties to the international banking order. But of course, that's not what's going to happen. All of the above. Iran and the US have explicitly shot down civilian airliners by accident. I can't remember if Israel has, but I wouldn't be surprised if that could be on the table given the amount of missiles flying.
Israel did, it wasn’t by accident though, they did it deliberately as a “terrorist” preventative because the flight went over the Sinai desert. This was back in like the 70s, I don’t think they’ve done so since.
I haven't heard of this incident, but I wouldn't be surprised. If it was during the Yom Kippur War, they very well may have shot down a civilian airliner out of concern for it being a disguised Egyptian flight.
