There was always a chance Trump was a participant in Epstein's Island fun and games. He is a billionaire after all. But the way he shunned him reads more like he was in on its existence and wanted no part of it. Add in Elon clearly crashing out, and I don't think he's the most reliable source on the matter.
I remember someone who was investigating the Epstein situation said Trump was the most cooperative witness he dealt with. I don't know how much Trump knew but he had nothing to hide, unlike Slick Willy.

Trump certainly doesn't look completely clean based on all the available information we have, but he has a decent amount of evidence in his favor of being so compared to most because he was at least willing to work against Epstein at times.
