She was born in 1937 in Italy. Her parents owned a hotel on an island in the Adriatic. They left when Mussolini expeled the jews. They fled to Hungary, then moved to the Dominican Republic. Following WW2 her family moved to America and opened a hotel. Her family was never in a camp

They invented "generational trauma" in like the 60s for this exact purpose. They thought ahead and made sure that they could use the label for at least a few cycles, if not forever if the black population is any indication.
