I wonder if it's possible to go one week, neigh, one day without a news story on antisemitism

Try one hour, maybe. But they probably pump out one every few minutes.

Maybe because antismitism is a growing problem...

anti-white sentiment has pervaded through our institutions since the end of ww2. that's a much more important problem.

Harvard researcher Dr Sarah Fortune was only two years away from creating a vaccine

That's a bullshit claim. Innovation does not work like that - if you know enough about making the vaccine to predict it will be done in two years, you know enough about making the vaccine to have it done in a week.

Harvard researcher Dr Sarah Fortune was only two years away from creating a vaccine that could have saved the 1.25 million people killed each year by tuberculosis. But last month, she received a letter telling her that the $60 million grant funding her research was being halted by President Trump.

Whether or not cutting off the funds was good and/or justified, if it's actually true, then she could easily raise that 60 million from other sources.

So at the very least, this is being overinflated. It could be that this was a promising but by no means as certain as they present cure, one of perhaps 5% chance of succeeding. If so, then I could see this being true. But I would find that worth fundng. Why do you have to exaggerate and deceive?

If its so damn amazing, why won't Harvad dip into their billions and fucking fund it?

Because... Because... They just shouldn't, okay! Your tax dollars belong to small town mom and pop institutions worth billions, okay?

and then they'll force us to pay an arm and a leg for the vaccine we funded

I'm sure she's right -- this is very important medical work. Which is what makes this so astonishing. Harvard is so committed to protecting antisemitic conduct -- including crimes -- that they are willing to sacrifice important work like this, rather than clean up their act.

I know which one I would pick if you gave me the choices "cure cancer" and "crack down a tiny bit on seditious foreign rioters" but that's why they run Harvard and I'm just some guy.

"Another two weeks!" the vaccine.

And besides, ever since they changed the definition of vaccines, they're effectively worthless now.

To be honest, Harvard is not liking Trump anyway.

This used to be called "Washington Monument Syndrome".
If your funding gets cut? Chop the MOST important, Most critical & MOST beloved thing first! Then people will scream to have that regain its funding & your Kingdom loses nothingy.

The Washington Monument Tour was easily the Parks branch's most popular feature (it probably still is!) and if ANY funding was cut, the FIRST thing to go would be the 10am tour, with a big sign explaining that the Congress did this, with a big arrow pointing to their offices. The LAST thing a Congresscritter wants is Joe & Thelma from their District in their office asking why the tour was cancelled...

Bloated bureaucracy? Waste? NO! Never! Cut the most important things & scream blue murder.
