You know he could have said that before release and many would have understood. Instead he purposely lied and antagonized his audience.
Let's be honest, nobody would have "understood" lol. It would be taken as a betrayal, probably just as bad as what he's doing now
yep. from a cold-hearted marketing perspective, he played it right. Anyone who bought it hoping for authenticity is the fool.
moreover, anyone who repeatedly complained about it is also the fool, as it created a free marketing via internet shitstorm.
It paid off in the short term, but his credibility is in the toilet, the bridge is burned with a majority of players.
His next project might suffer because of it. The industry is littered with the carcasses of hotshot directors who pissed off gamers.
Hmmm, I think some would understand that compromises are sometimes necessary. I agree the majority of those folks wouldn't populate this board.

I don't think so and I don't think I believe him here. Usually I am not one of those that points to the protected class of people but in this case he is of a Certain tribe that is known to lie even to their god... Just wanted to point that out there.
I highly doubt anyone would've understood anything he said before release why they added gays, girl bosses, ugly harpies and a nog for no reason.
