In the end McConaughey has a speech about a rape of a ten year old black girl by white supremacist, and he has the jury close their eyes as he tearfully details the assualt. And his last line, as the music swells and the jury opens their eyes in shock, is, "Now imagine if she was white."
Which is interesting because the actual case the movie is based on was a white girl getting raped by blacks.

True. Back in the day the video/dvd rental was a great service and when I first subscribed they had a lot of good older shows to watch but now their original content is so predictable. I mainly watch older stuff now so those free services like Tubi or Pluto have massive libraries of old stuff
