There’s no reconciling motherhood with careerism. If women want families, they need to focus on families - not careers. And if you want to have a civilization, then you need women to focus on families.
forced to choose between going to their prenatal appointments and earning a paycheck.
Its literally as fucking easy as scheduling it for your day off, and making sure your employer knows you won't be coming that day no matter what if they try to pull you in.
The only way this is a problem is if you need to work 2-3 jobs every single day to get by, which means you are too poor, stressed and unhealthy to have a baby anyway. Or your job is so shit they threaten you over such, which is not only an easy lawsuit but a sign of a job so shit you are also too poor and stressed to be having a baby.
Like every time these pity party bills go through, they just list out problems as if women were just getting pregnant randomly through no action of their own instead of making a clear choice to end up so. And then we all should feel bad for them and work extra hard to compensate.
Doctor's offices aren't exactly known for their flexibility and accommodation. They generally just declare "your next appointment is X".
It could conceivably be difficult to schedule prenatal appointments if you are working a straight 9-5 because doctors generally only offer appointments M-F 9-5 as well.
That being said, most prenatal appointments are pretty short, especially early on. It's mostly just rote data collection on a fixed schedule.
Early on, appointments are only every 4 weeks or so, increasing to weekly by the end. The scheduling of the appointments is pretty sensitive though as all prenatal milestones are based on gestational age by weeks, so visits need to occur at specific times at specific intervals.
Equality is paying a woman the same as a man for 1/3 of the work.

Solution: get a husband and be a housewife.
I'm tired of pretending that women being in the workplace isn't a disaster for everyone involved.

Eventually it will be cheaper and easier to just kick all the women out of the workforce entirely and pay their wages to their husbands.
Probably more efficient too!
Productivity would improve overnight.
Where are their husbands?
Sitting right there with them : Kathy Hochul / The Government.
Giving free black eyes to coal burners at best and actively collecting tolls at worst.
You know the answer.
Time off for the beginning of pregnancy, time off in the middle, time off once it's popped out. All paid, all making a dude pick up the slack
Notice the browns and nigs and the only white woman is the rich wrinkly fuck.
Ban all of it and just make mandatory minimums for PTO time.
