I was more disappointed with Mike's performance than any stream hiccups. I really wanted him to come out of retirement and humble some dumb influencer faggot.
He had the best shot in the first two rounds. But with Iron Mike, your best chances of winning is to simply survive his initial onslaught (pretty damn hard in his prime).
He spent every other round chewing his glove and refusing to go in or be in any way aggressive. It was extremely frustrating to watch. We all know Mike fucking Tyson knows how to get in on an opponent but he just sat there instead of advancing.
Yeah I don't know if he was holding back or just too old to keep up. It was already a softer fight with the bigger gloves and shorter rounds. I do have a theory, being Netflix, that it was more to prop up the female fight (which was brutal and interesting tbf). The MVP guy couldn't bring up muh female fighters enough when asked.
Don’t know what anyone expected, it was a cash grab, the funniest part was a streaming “titan” like Netflix couldn’t even manage a 720 consistent stream for the fight.
We expected either Tyson to knock Paul the fuck out in the first couple rounds or Paul to at least knock down Tyson by like 4-5.
Paul clearly wasn't trying for the win. Yes it was smart to run around and avoid him the first couple rounds since he's almost 60 fucking years old but it's round 6, Mike is looking bad on his feet and Paul still treats it like a sparring match.
It's like they paid him to let Tyson go the distance like Rocky.
When Tyson told that 13-year old girl that legacy is meaningless he basically announced that this fight was going to be nothing but a boring cash grab. Not sure why you expected anything else.
I hate the two minute rounds. The commentary team is awful. Who decided Rosie Perez is a broadcaster? Even Mauro Ranallo is pretty awful his constant hip hop references are really grating, I guess being the only white guy he's trying to be "urban"
He's always been like that, even in WWE where his partner was white he still did that- but it wasn't as bad as tonight. Guy made sure every 2nd sentence was a pop culture reference.
What Netflix is going through is not easy. Handling peak streams takes a lot of work and a lot of experience. Typically, they should be able to restore in 15-25 minutes, but if they don’t, it’s due to a severe lack of experience and lack of preparation. Let’s hope they get it.
Rumble survived Election Night without a hiccup and Netflix is struggling on their live sporting event. The little guys sometimes have the best engineers. Rumble Cloud ftw
Even the "normies" on the mainstream media websites are complaining about how Netflix could not cope with the traffic (250 million I saw as one estimate). As things stand, there is still a place for live broadcasting which can have an infinite number of people watching without it keeling over.
Maybe Netflix botched the stream on purpose. Maybe they knew ahead of time it was an overhyped fight that wasn't going to be that exciting, so they ensured it would periodically freeze, crash, or pixelate so that no one would properly see it. Maybe Netflix did this because they realized viewers would be happier believing they missed the fight of the century rather than see what a boring and uneventful match it really was. Hey, it works for Brockian Ultra-Cricket!
The people watching pirate streams had a much smoother experience than paying Netflix subscribers.

Same.
I wanted Paul to get punched so hard he woke up in Skyrim.

He was always going to lose.
Age and gender aren't constructs. They are very very real.
It's funny, the Pauls are pretty inline with the genral outlook of this board. And yet they are disliked, kinda strange?
In line? They’re degenerate douchebags.
They also are America first, trolls, and are Pro-Trump.
Because it gets them clicks and feeds their attention addiction. Social media influencers are universally terrible people.
Shitty "fight".

A little huffing and puffing and Mike's 20M richer.
At least we got some great meme's of Mike / Big Mike.

Mine was fine until the video package before the women's match started, but lots of people were having troubles for like an hour before that.
Even rewinding back doesn't seem to help, they're just not ready for big live events like this yet. Scared for WWE Raw coming up.
Mine froze then as well, during the rules screen
So it was Paul dancing around trying not to get knocked out untill he won by decision?
I saw somewhere that Tyson got paid $90 grand per punch, don't know if the maths is accurate but the sentiment is.
I honestly think he was paid so the story could be Mike "went the distance" ala Rocky.
Because this fight didn't make him look good- he needed judge's to award him the fight against a 58 yr old??
He could have probably knocked Tyson out (or down at the very least) in round 4-5, and undoubtably by round 6-7.
The fight was worse than the freezing.
This was the most cucked fight in my lifetime.
I should see nothing about Jake Paul fighting losers.
Mike Tyson’s name should never be uttered again. Ever.
I didn't even know this was happening until Flashgitz uploaded a cartoon about it.
