Please put them in games, spend millions on them so your studio closes like firewalk. Burn these companies down with your ineptitude, you disgusting fat degenerates.
This reminds me of when Diablo 4 launched with that super fat druid model. There was some hamplanet streamer that I saw a clip of seeing the character for the first time and going "she looks like me!" complete with performative tears. I tracked that version down just now, but when I first saw it, it was posted to reddit or something and of course all the comments were gushing about how "heartwarming" and "wholesome" it was. All I could think was: "yeah, she does look like you. And you, living in your body, must be aware of how hard it is for you to do basically anything. You probably get winded walking up a single flight of stairs. Do you really have no cognitive dissonance here seeing an action hero that 'looks like you'?"
These people should be more aware than anyone else of just how absurd this stuff is. They live their physical limitations every day. And yet their raging narcissism makes them go "yeah, this looks right" when they see an action hero character that obviously couldn't perform any sort of actual action.
And you, living in your body, must be aware of how hard it is for you to do basically anything.
I get the point you are going for, but this is usually false. Fat people are usually fat their entire life or became so so gradually they didn't recognize the changes until they forgot a lot of how it used to be.
They, like a lot of Leftie adjacent groups, assume their experiences are universal and have trouble imagining a life that isn't their own. To the point where they don't often recognize their obvious issues as being issues, and instead just think its normal human function.
There's an old Tom Segura bit about him having to find out from his wife freaking out that normal people don't have explosive diarrhea every day from their garbage diet. That's how far gone most of these people are from "normal" functioning, and they've "made it work" for so long it doesn't register as that abnormal.

So, don't know how they'd feel if they didn't eat breakfast?
The only humans that might need characters that look like them are very small children. Literally toddlers. They may need that in order to understand some base level personification, and to occasionally help them understand that they might not literally be what they are seeing, typically in their friend group. Most of the time, toddlers need to look like their partners, and there's been some issues with adopted children having some issues if they look properly different.
But that's it. Any adolescent that's demanding characters look like them is someone suffering from major mental health issues like Narcissism. If an adult needs to see people that look like them, then we don't need to wonder if it's Narcissistic Personality Disorder, it just is.
Meanwhile, can someone explain to me why, under this concept, people keep playing as Dragonborn characters in Baldur's Gate 3? Is it because these players are actually interdimensional, shape shifting, alien, reptiles that rule over our civilization, or is it because the whole premise of this hypothesis is wrong? Perchance they are all other-kin?
Or... or... hear me out... let's assume that the premise here is true, and society burdens certain demographics with negative stigma, and as such we need to make people feel represented. But what if society is so negative towards a demographic, that that demographic learns to self-hate and disassociate to such a degree that they have to actually pretend to be animals. So, let's say, a white male kid chooses to play as the anthropomorphic character because he's been taught by society that being white is worse than being a reptile. Should we go with that line of thinking?
You're right. They're clearly the interdimensional alien reptiles.
Aydin Paladin did a two hour video on this very subject in the last day or so. I read the comments after viewing the video and the one thing that was apparent was that people do NOT want to play as themselves or as an avatar that represents someone in real life. What they want is escapism, strong, sexy, idealised individuals, even to the point that people actively create avatars that are the polar opposite of who they are!
These activists will destroy the gaming industry. I think they grossly underestimate just how angry and fed up people are of these ideologues. A reckoning is coming, one that will potentially be bigger than GamerGate in 2014.
I dropped out of the "new" culture by watching old (1940-2010-ish) movies and tv shows through a media server. I also play classic PC and emulated video games (1980-2015-ish).
For anyone interested, all you need to run a media server is a basic PC with a CPU or GPU that has current codecs to stream movies & shows over a software media server. Often your old laptop can do it, or a super cheap PC build.
For emulated and current gaming, you pretty much just need any 8-core/16-thread CPU with a 12GB GPU. It should be enough to emulate just about any game through PS3 and Nintendo Switch era. Plus the Free GOG website is a great source for DRM-free / no-crack classic and current PC game torrents.
Lossless Scaling is a $5 app for upscaling and also does AI frame generation, up to 3x or 4x frame gen now. Basically any mid-level GPU with at least 12GB ram will likely be enough to play modern games and any classic or emulated games for the foreseeable future.

CLEARLY.
Neither does anyone else but you don't hear us complaining.
This has been proven to be a lie. Chicks want sexy characters more than guys
Games are supposed to be an escape for reality. Why wouldn't you want to play an attractive character?
Because they crave affirmation.
Reminds me of this old "motivational" poster.
A member of the Great Internet Canon, no doubt.

They're not being sincere.
You said it.

Women are so pathetic holy shit
Yeah... how about all games come with a fucking character creation system, so that way, everyone can make themselves.. WHICH I DOUBT THEY WOULD.
They don't want to play as themselves. They want others to worship them. That doesn't work if others aren't forced to play as them.

We created avatars inspired by real gamer men.
But the polygons required to simulate the folds were too numerous.

Dove should stick to making overpriced soap.
Worthless biowaste.
No audio?
My God these are ugly.

How anti-semitic of you.
