A friend of mine is a teacher and has a bunch of migrants in her class since they got rid of ESL classes as "isolating." So she has to Google translate everything she says. And they write their essays in Spanish and Google translate them to English.
That's genuinely heartbreaking. Part of me can't help but think that women being the overwhelming majority of teachers cultivates this kind of self-destructive deference.
That reminds me of some video I saw, where the journo scum was making a sob story about some Mexican woman being deported after 20 years. Interview was entirely in Spanish, 'cuz the woman didn't speak a word of English.

Also people came here with the idea that they were going to become American and being American meant speaking English. My parents grew up in households of Italian immigrants and never learned italian because "you're in America, you speak English."
Somalis have an average IQ 68. That means a significant majority is too retarded to function in a developped society ( 80 being the generally agreed-upon threshold ).
Pair this with the fact it's harder to learn another language as an adult, and dumber people have less brain plasticity too, and you get that.
