As someone who wants to visit Japan some day, I'm furious at all the obnoxious tourists who are making Americans and Westerners look like assholes. I can only imagine the level of secondhand embarrassment I'd have if I was also black, since for every white asshole like Logan Paul, there are several more black assholes like Jonny Somali.
At least Chinese tourists are so horrible that they make white Americans and Westerners look good by comparison, though they're pretty evenly-matched with the black tourists.
Plus at the end of the day, people do notice color whether we wanna admit it or not, and when particularly obnoxious behavior has a tendency to be color-coded, it'll help people who look like me appear better by comparison. The yen is at historic low against the dollar now. Food, lodging, transportation Is very affordable once you get there - within reason. Thats why they are getting record number of tourists now.
