Almost like an Isolationist nation that had to be literally forced open, and then nuked into compliance, doesn't like other people. Especially people near them or that mess with their stuff.
Japanese Media exports make their respective companies probably billions of dollars a year, and most of the time they can barely be assed to care slightly about what goes on with it.
