“Your satanic inversion is complete.”
Literally all it takes is a cute, confident dude who is also violent. It’s the eternal cheat code for turning any woman into a puddle.
Into a...what?
Because she gets wet
The Sith are just misunderstood, they only wanted to teach kids! Nothing nefarious with that, right?
"Sith Story Hour is just harmless fun for the younglings bigot!"
Transformers Prime did something similar, but did it much better:
According to Megatron, the name "Decepticons" was originally derogatory, given to them by the opposing faction to mock them. They later outright adopted it as a badge of honor, turning a negative into a positive. Granted, it's Megatron, but we have no evidence he was lying here.
Think "teabagger"
It's megatron.
Prime showed that Megatron started as a freedom fighter who got drunk off the power of becoming the new tyrant after he and Optimus overthrew the unjust rulers of Cybertron. It was the whole "I didn't actually want justice, I just wanted a turn to be the dictator" mindset. As such, he maintained that the Decepticons were still the underdogs even as they were terrorizing the innocent. A very liberal motivation for a villain, honestly.
His eventual fate at the end of Prime was really cool too. I'd elaborate, but I can't find any way to spoiler tag here....
Sith are literally a species lol
Were. Think they're extinct by the time of the prequels
hell, they're extinct by the time of KOTOR....
There was a timeline where we got to see Christina Hendricks play Mara Jade but we'll never experience it.
I love the Expanded Universe. Have you checked out Darth Angelus or the fan film doing the fight between Jaina and Jacen? I’d say Old Republic and prequels did a better job of that storytelling.
I hear people clamoring for them to put Mara Jade in the Disney canon but I’m glad they haven’t. I’d rather them not touch any of it
yeah...it's for the best...
...I don't wanna think what DEI would do to the Yuzhan Vong...
That's the cycle most fandoms go through. The "bad guys" are way cooler and more beloved than the good guys, which leads into "fuck the good guys," which then leads into "ackshually the good guys were oppressive and bad," and then finally "the bad guys stood for freedom and expression all along!"
Its such a common thing that even TvTropes acknowledged it with the absolutely massive list for each, with Ron/Draco being the centerpiece examples of it in action.
Strange how one of the few shows that this has never happened to is the show the two of us 100% agree is an absolute masterpiece: Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Nobody thinks SEELE were good people.
Its because SEELE lacks anything of value to attach to. They are bland, boring looking old men who speak entirely in riddles or philosophy. Only one even has a name and their lines/personality are interchangeable between each other.
They aren't powerful, they send an army to murder a bunch of barely resisting scientists. They aren't tragic, they are just rich elites who want to be gods. They aren't attractive, they all look like literal caricatures of ugly men.
Which is why no one even remembers they exist half the time, while Gendo has undergone that process to full "did nothing wrong, ever" status to alot of people.
Well, aside from being a complete failure as a human being without his dommy-mommy around to actually let him function in society to a meagre degree.
With parents like that, it's amazing Shinji turned out as well as he did.
You just described what a lot of girls look for in a man, someone who is a complete failure and loser who turns to horrific evil over his lady that he is utterly devoted to.
Its why serial killers have fans. And why that turn around is so common in fandoms.
The hero is supposed to be an everyman which pretty much translates to boring most of the time.
Self-insert fags continue to be a plague upon all forms of writing.
There was rumblings of "Chaos is good, actually" in the 40k community some time ago but they decided to debase their franchise with women instead.
They still try to push that with the entire 'Um, ACKSUALLY, the Imperium is EVIL, guise' bullshit every other day or so.
Part of the reason why I love the Black Legion books so much. Completely focused on Chaos, and everyone involved in the books Chaos-side are raging, hypocritical assholes with insecurity issues.
to be honest, chaos is neutral in and of itself..it's the motivations and actions that define the good or evil of it...same with order.
Well tbh the Empire did nothing wrong and brought peace and security to the galaxy.
The religious terrorists that killed millions by blowing up two peaceful mining stations probably did discriminate.
...couldn't resist
From what little I understand of the 40k lore, the Empire did quite a lot wrong, with the rub being that by all evidence, all the other options were even worse.

"Yeeess, yeeessss, let the retardation flow through you!"

I know which one I'm choosing.
I saw this and thought it was satire. Guess not.
