There was a somewhat niche movie about the Armenian genocide that I saw a few years ago. This was before I was a full time noticer, and I was shocked (but not really) when I saw a fairly prominent star come onto the screen and proudly say "I am a Jew and I will not tolerate this genocide". They have to make sure their little story is always above your hardships. Always.

Jim Carrey had that "good people on both sides" line at the end of the second one, so I think it's leaning towards Hollywood. I've heard bad things about this series. That it puts too much focus on the stupid humans and not enough on the Echidna we're actually here to see. This seems about right.
Seriously, how egotistical do you have to be to compare yourself to a literally endangered species? It's the sheer dishonesty of it all that really sets me off.
It is a very childish series. The government agents are buffoons and you have to forget that Wade is a sheriff and would have guns and their 'battlesuits' look like those things Matt Damon wore in Elysium, actually I am 90% certain that they literally just got those off of some lot storage and added some extra lights to them to repurpose them for this show. So you just think, what if Wade pulled out his gun and just shot them.
The show makes everyone act like they are either cartoonishly evil, like Susie's parents are just totally fine with being accessory to multiple felonies or everyone is much less threatening than they should be.
Transformers syndrome. We wanted to see our autobots kick ass on the big screen Instead we get some annoying teenager drama with some robots thrown in to hide from his parents.
A few minutes after this scene, Knuckles has a fistfight with some bad guys set to Haga Navila. This is not an exaggeration at all, I'm actually underselling how surreal it is.
