But I was told that media companies have no choice but to alter their products to appeal to the cultural sensitivities of the regions they are sold in.
I did indeed grow weary of it, tired, sluggish in my enthusiasm. But then the DEI invaded, and I could no longer sleep. Now, I am wary of things, rather than weary. Alert, not aloof.
Sarcastic spelling correction aside, pandering to looks is an important metric in game assessment, because... it IS pandering. If someone is pandering to me, they're making a product FOR ME. If they're pandering to someone else, they're making the product for them, and it is not for me.
If the product is at least being made FOR ME, being pandering for me, there's a chance it is a buyable product, unlike one that is pandering to DEI/ESG/BRIDGE, which is notably NOT pandering for me, NOT being made for my purchase and enjoyment.
I tried the demo and found it pretty enjoyable, like a mix of Nier and Metal Gear Rising. The art direction is on point, after Lies of P and now this Korea is really knocking it out of the park lately.
I think it would look good topless, so it must be Body Type A. Body Type B never allows their upper body clothing to come off, likely because the programmers weren't satisfied with how it looks graphically.
i still think stellar blade and FF7 are PS5 console exclusives to dampen their sales. The_Donald equivalent to quarantine or dam slowly releasing the water so its a trickle and not a gush. The ancillary benefit is that when it sells not so good, the wokesters will say "see? no one likes teh sexy girls. If they made the females look like Aloy or Abbey, it would've sold millions more!"
By the time it comes to PC, it will sell less. the total sales will be less. less interest, less hype, and etc.
I think the Arabs will go "technically she's covered, it's just a very SKINTIGHT covering"
Or they are actually an adult about it compared to the West of 'it's fictional, give us the good gameplay and booty!'
On that note, was Nier Automata ever censored? I actually feel like a lot of the censorship is from media from the west with HEAVY gay messaging or diversity messaging but having a fictional sexy woman do combat probably doesn't even raise an eyebrow.
The art style is pretty generic, so it definitely needs remarkable gameplay to be worth playing.
Not that it doesn't look "good," it's definitely polished, but it doesn't look distinctive. It's to games like Bayonetta and DMC what the typical soulslike is to DS/BB/Elden Ring.
Actually reminds me a lot of P.N.03 on the GameCube, very similar vibe although even P.N.03 was more stylized, albeit in a similar way to Ikaruga. Shame that neither of these properties ever went anywhere.
Now if it could get a PC release sooner rather than later.
Cannot wait for mods, lol
Trying to get it uncensored in the nether regions? ;-)
Perhaps ;)
But I was told that media companies have no choice but to alter their products to appeal to the cultural sensitivities of the regions they are sold in.
You have to make it for THE MODERN AUDIENCE*!!1
*does not actually exist as an audience
Blackrock and Vanguard absolutely exist, but good luck getting these companies to admit that's who their real "modern audience" is.
Be weary of something pandering to looks and no substance.

BUT IS IT BODY TYPE A OR BODY TYPE B?!?! Help me localizer faggots, you're my only hope!

We’re on the right cheek of history
Great stuff!
Let the government of those regions decide whether or not it's lewd and leave the opinionated journos as far out of it all as possible.
ONE GAME
TWO CHEEKS

I'm skeptical of the game even worth a shit. I don't give a fuck if she's hot, if the game blows.

PN03 was pretty neat but felt lacking. It was missing that distinctive quality you said. I certainly like the flair it had though.
