There are tons of FAA policies on mental health and even more on medication for such that are pretty strict and can go as far as to disqualify (or make extreme bureaucracy for) kids who took ADHD medicine when they were in elementary school and haven't in years. If they follow their own rules, this woman will never see the cockpit of a plane again.
I know better though, it's a three-letter agency, and I'm just going to guess her political views expressed aligned with the party, so she is a good comrade and will be good to go after a slap on the hand.

This happened back in 2017. The official statement was basically just "We took her aside." There was never a statement about what happened to her. I don't even think we got her name. Unlike passengers who get their identities blown up when they have a meltdown on a plane, she was heavily protected.
She was heavily protected in the same way the person who forgot to affix all the Boeing doors was protected.
How was she even allowed to board without uniform?
I have only ever worked jobs that required uniforms, and never once was I allowed to work without them. They weren't even high-level jobs, they were entry level stuff; security guard, grocery store stocker, pizza hut kitchen, etc. I was supposed to wear black pants at the grocery store job and since the ones I usually wore were dirty I wore some dark navy blue ones instead. I still got told I was out of uniform, despite working overnight from 11pm-8am where no one would see me but other employees.
How in God's name can this bitch walk onto the plane out of uniform and not be given the 3rd degree? Women are so fucking coddled it's insane.
I've worked the similar jobs and, yeah, it's wild how hard they crack down on that.
Pilots' uniforms usually show some sort of rank, so this is even crazier to me.
FYI, the rank doesn't really mean anything; it's a position identifier. The captain of the plane will have four stripes, just like the captain of a ship. The copilot/first officer will have three. The flight attendants wear a completely different uniform and don't have any.
In the airlines, everything is about position and seniority. The most senior captains will make the most money and have the most choice in their schedules.
I had a buddy that was a senior copilot at once of the major airlines, and when he first upgraded to captain, he actually fell further down priority list when choosing their schedule because he went from one of the most senior copilots to the most junior captain. Of course that's temporary, and the move opens up far more potential for earning and greater seniority down the line.
I have no idea about seniority at the regional airlines, which pay people like shit and are generally just used as a feeder to getting a job at one of the big ones. If you have a decent mid-level white color job, you probably make more than a pilot on a regional airline.
I don't care what gender the pilot is. If they start spouting crazy nonsense like this I'm heading for the exit.

Professional women aren't doing anything to prove the stereotype wrong. IMO it's not worth taking any unnecessary risks just to be fair to the exceptional women out there.
Eh, the human race not only survived but thrived and entered the industrial age under the so-called "patriarchy" where women were largely considered hysterical by default. We'll manage with a little more sexism. We might not survive DEI though.
