They're mad that history has shown that their own heritage has them enslaved by THEIR OWN race to the highest bidder even if they were on the other side of the planet or castrating them after.
While other nations either payed for their freedom or literally went to war in retaliation.
I would love to see an accurate mini series or movies about African tribal groups/kingdoms. Show them fighting as well as enslaving others. Ideally this would open some eyes if young westerners but I have doubts. If I had the ability I’d do a full series on non western slavery and conquest.
In fact, it was very clear that if you DIDN’T go out and support and love the movie, you weren’t a real supporter of black people. Funny how that works huh?
Imagine if White people kept demanding there be White samurai in Japanese historical films just because there were a few White samurai who existed, And in the case of the so called "black samurai Yasuke", he probably didn't even exist and was made up by the jesuits https://kotakuinaction2.win/p/17sP1tdvfF/the-fake-myth-of-the-black-samur/
They made a big deal out of "The Last Samurai" because it was the white savior trope. Even though Cruise wasn't the eponymous Samurai, wasn't their savior, and lost.
The Japanese critics of that movie complained the samurai were too noble and not corrupt. They had zero issues with Cruise. Japanese actually like Westerners adopting their culture they find it flattering.
How many bad Ninja and Samurai movies have been made with that exact premise? Blood sport, 3 Ninjas, American Ninja, Shogun, Last Samurai are the ones I can remember.
Bloodsport isn't a Samurai movie. American Ninja is about ninjas not samurai. And Cruise isn't a Samurai in The Last Samurai. Keanu Reeves isn't a Samurai in 47 Ronin.
I didn't watch the original Shogun or read the books so I can't comment on white samurai in that.
I recall some older writings by an African scholar, about going everywhere in the world and being reminded that your people had nothing to do with any of the technology or wealth everywhere else. This sort of neverending reminder of one's inferiority breeds non stop envy and resentment.
Think you pavement apes have it so bad here? Fine, by all means I’m sure you can make a perfect utopia in Africa right? I’ve talked to length with my black colleagues (we are all doctors) about race and they straight up admitted to me that if every race but black people were wiped out tomorrow, educated people like himself would be useless since they are outnumbered 20 to one with morons that couldn’t even be bothered to read and write in the 21st century
“For this village, even were it incomparably more remote and incredibly more primitive, is the West, the West onto which I have been so strangely grafted. These people cannot be, from the point of view of power, strangers anywhere in the world; they have made the modem world, in effect, even if they do not know it. The most illiterate among them is related, in a way that I am not, to Dante, Shakespeare, Michelangelo, Aeschylus, Da Vinci, Rembrandt, and Racine; the cathedral at Chartres says something to them which it cannot say to me, as indeed would New York’s Empire State Building, should anyone here ever see it. Out of their hymns and dances come Beethoven and Bach. Go back a few centuries and they are in their full glory—but I am in Africa, watching the conquerors arrive.”
Stranger in the Village, James Baldwin
That's some brutal, self-aware stuff right there. And this was written back in the 1950s.
I’m actually thinking of watching this show now. I tried to explain this to someone who said race swapping was no big deal. If I had the resources I’d love to make a movie about some ancient African tribe or the Mayan empire and have a completely diverse cast and then ask the media why they are noticing
I'll tell you guys an underated modern day, well for the 90s, Samurai movie. The Hunted with Christopher Lambert. It's just a gruff Samurai protecting Lambert because he can identify the ninja who killed his wife(?).

Yea but they hide that. The Woman King was about some major African slavers but apparently that’s ok
They reinvented and tried to say the women were arguing against slavery when they actually went out and captured people.

Yea. That movie had red flags when I just heard the plot summary.

If you want an accurate depiction, check out The Devil's Hand. It's about Japan when trade and guns were introduced.
Watanabe Ken who? The lefties forgot he was ever in that movie, let alone his role. Duh, they only look at the white man.

The main character is a Dutch traveler given Daimyo status.
"You smell that? That's fear coming up behind you."
A line way too good for the shitty "we replaced every actor, but got a cheap celebrity (Hogan)" 4th movie in a franchise.

To stop that envy and resentment, we should send them all back and not let them get outside of Africa ever again
Something we should’ve done a loooooong time ago.

A ten thousand year timeout, or until they build a functional agrarian society.

Damn. Thanks for posting that. Fascinating bit of observation and of introspection from Balwin there.
Yeah i cant stand these people

Apocalypto by mel gibson was fire.
Yep. Good movie. I don’t remember it getting attacked but I wasn’t paying attention
I remember the big controversy was the Spanish showing up at the end, since it was dated a hundred years before the Conquistadors.
Ohhhh. Ok. Overall a great movie.

Afro Samurai was pretty awesome. Man.. pre 2008 was good times. Before faggot ass obama started the destruction of our country.
