Sam Harris serves two big purposes and not much more. One is that his dumb, wrong takes are simply funny. I could listen to a 2 hour Harris montage of wrongness, just for comedy purposes at this point.
The second is a terrible indictment of the doctrine of materialism. He is possibly the most fanatically motivated, angry man on the globe, despite having no clear basis for his moral postures. Remember he said that he would be happy to collaborate in Hunter Biden's hypothetical killing of children, if it helped prevent the next Trump presidency. His basis for this madness is...

On the David Pakman show which for some reason is ringing on my known shill list.
He seems like a sunken cost guy, the type of guy that can't bear to admit he's wrong so has to keep the party line at all costs than admit he isn't as smart as he thinks he is.
In life, better to be humble and admit you got something wrong or don't know something than end up like this guy.
David Pakman did an interview with someone sympathetic to #GG back in the early days of #GG. Then he was bombarded with accusations of racism and sexism. Then he proceeded to scrape and crawl his way back into the good graces of the "progressives" by pretending that he'd never been attacked and toeing the party line that #GG was entirely made up of far right wing *ists.
He's one of the most disgustingly smug, ignorant media propagandists that's ever been involved in this whole dumb affair. I'd put him on the list as far worse than anyone at TYT (because he at least doesn't act like a clown and can remain calm when he's lying about people) and up there with people like Rachel Maddow or Nicole Wallace.

The only reason this is an issue in his mind is because we don't have blanket amnesty for 1 million immigrants a month.

While I have heard that maybe the raw numbers might be "lower" than a decade or so ago, that doesn't mean that letting the numbers continue to be so high is remotely justified.
In other words, we're still letting in too many illegals when we have absolutely no sensibly good reason to do so, at least as it pertains to how it impacts our own fucking country. And worse still, it's deliberately being allowed by the left/Feds.
