Honestly, having a minority of the black vote turn to Trump, and then another minority turn to West would actually cause some real havok for Dems in urban areas. Even with 70% of the black vote, the Dems would basically lose most of the swing states.
I think the question is "what is a chunk". Even the polls in 2020 were saying nearly 40% of black men supported Trump, but he only got around 16-18%. I'm thinking he might be able to pull in 18-20% this election.
I'm unironically all in favor. Normalize alternative parties. It won't happen in this case, but I want someone to give both the Dems and Repubs a run for their money. Make them scared. Threaten their uniparty hold on the system. I don't care if the people doing the scaring are communists, Nazis, or what have you, I just want someone to point out that you can actually vote for whoever you want, and it doesn't have to be an R or a D. They'll either get in shape, or crack down. Either one tells people where they stand, and what they have to do next.
