Basically after WW2 all the math of building a bomb is confirmed, the genie is out of bottle. Anyone that is competent in nuclear physics can figure it out. The only thing holding anyone back from buildings nukes or reactors is industrial/economic capacity.
Any well developed nation can build a nuclear bomb tomorrow if they wanted to.

I thought lyndon Johnson gave them nukes, after Kennedy refused to and was killed.
Kennedy wasn't having any of their bullshit excuses abour High Enriched Uranium coming from their reactor (and as Israel later admitted half the facility was fake to cover up their bomb making operation) and threatened to cut off all US aid if they didn't open it up to IAEA inspections and admit they were a nuclear power. He was killed 5 months later and Johnson immediately revoked all of the restrictions that Kennedy had tried putting on Israel. It was like his first or second act after swearing in.
You reminded me of this segment here, it doesn't go over the start because the Israelis are secretive about their nuclear program but sometime in 1967 with French assistance they built a reactor in the Negev desert where they refined their first isotopes.

The knowledge is pretty easy, a bunch of jews left the US after the war and moved to Israel. It's the HEU that is the hard to get part. It requires a significant investment in land and capital. At one point, the K-25 gaseous diffusion plant in Oak Ridge, TN was the largest building in the world. For Israel to undertake something like that would be extremely obvious, and thus would get sanctions leveled against them. Their enimeis would also have a good target, similar to how Israel keeps making the US blow up Iraq's and Iran's plants. Thus stealing the HEU was their goto method.
There is also the Vela incident. Which once again shows how the rules are different for the [Redditacted]. Israel is and was at the time a signatory of the Partial Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, but they have never been sanctioned for it.
The only reason that it was detected was the US was still using a "retired" satellite. All the VELA satellites what were in official active service were not in view at the time of the blast. Showing that once again, Israel was spying on the US.
The cover up of the Apollo Affair by a bunch of jews like Seymour Hersh is the telling part.
It's also interesting that the same handler for Zalman Shapiro (the guy who supplied the HEU) also was one of Johnathan Pollard's handers. Trump pardoned a different one of Pollard's handers, Aviem Sella. There are probably more jewish spies in the US government than US patriots.
