It's not some EMP. Disrupting electronics creates a story about disrupted electronics. You require seamless real-time editing, that the recording party itself doesn't notice the editing as it is being edited, because SOMEONE would talk otherwise. So real-time brain reprogramming. That's supra-natural territory there.

Still, it seems like an extremely disproportionate amount of police for even 50 people. I could maybe imagine a third of that many cars responding to 50 people... but certainly not that many.
