Watching the left trying to criticize Israel can get pretty funny. The elephant in the room has always been that, in leftist's own terms, Judaism (and thus even the secularized culture and identity that also emerge from it) is a far right, reactionary religion so it was always going to produce some sort of identitarian ideological movement, be it Zionism or something more focused on diaspora Jews.
