This topic came up in an IRL conversation with some coworkers recently. An old-GenZ/young-Millenial type was talking about how important it was for teachers to share their sexuality, etc., with students in order to be good teachers. Crazy town.
I was in K-12 mostly in the 80s and 90s. For the most part, I didn't know if my teachers were single, married, gay, had kids, had pets, etc. They were teachers and they taught. Their personal lives rarely came into the classroom.
There were, of course, exceptions. An English teacher who fancied herself an artist had a meltdown one day over NPR's funding being reduced. To her credit, she set up a debate in her class one day and allowed left and right students to debate the NPR issue. She was not a great teacher, but that was a pretty cool thing to do.
One teacher stands out in my memory. A highschool science teacher. He was an excellent teacher, he was very demanding of his students, and he was gay. He didn't tell us he was gay. There were no pride flags in the room. Perhaps he mentioned a husband or partner at some point, though I don't recall that. He had some stereotypically gay mannerisms, but it was primarily student rumor mill that spread the word he was gay.
One day in this class a girl exclaimed "Mr _____, someone wrote on the desk that Mr ____ is GAY!"
Silence.
The teacher looks at her and says "Really [sarcastically]. Have I ever made any secret of that? Does my personal life have any impact on {whatever topic we were learning about}? No? Let's continue."
And that was that. It never came up again.
What has happened to us that there are people who truly argue for teachers bringing their sexuality, sex lives, and personal lives into the classroom?
My high school social studies/civics teacher from several decades ago didn't even reveal her political party to the class until she was asked point blank on the last day. It was Democrat, ofc, but it was a genuine surprise because she actually taught things with a minimum of bias and always played devil's advocate.
I have to image she no longer is, if she's still alive, because lack of indoctrination is simply not allowed in current year.
Sounds about like my Civics teacher. I suspect she was old school southern Democrat, because of the way she'd talk about certain politicians some. It was subtle though. She also talked about her guns a lot. I'll give her credit though, she had high standards, made sure you learned the stuff, and still managed to treat students totally fair and not feel like she had favorites.
Her tests too, damn. It was like a blank page. List the Presidents in order. Describe every amendment and what it does. Stuff like that.
RED FLAG! RED FLAG!
If sharing your sexuality is what you deem a requirement in anything OTHER than something medical or relationship, there's a good chance your a degenerate.
I don't need to go round with a badge saying 'I'm straight' everywhere as my sexuality is not on the top ten of what makes me, me in my mind. Even if I were gay, it still wouldn't be a big deal, the only thing that would change is I'd probably be more dom as my personality I'd go with 'I'm always the top, everyone else is the bottom' like the ancient Greeks /s
Joking aside, it's a red flag, especially around children, if straight, non pedo teachers could not inject their sexuality for centuries, why can't you when it hasn't even been a few decades?
I remember when discussion of sex in public was taboo, never mind parading one's sex habits around for social approval, slapping them down like melds in a game of rummy..
It was a much more civilized, genteel culture then, for all its crassness.
Too bad we fell for the liberal bullshit that sexual inhibition is evil so everyone should just fall in a pile and fuck, STDs and jealousies be damned.
Goddamned hippies. How in the hell did I ever fall for their horseshit as a teenager? The shame of it all . . .
Genuine struggle for acceptance vs dogmatic performance. Same thing happens with every social movement, just like mothers against drunk driving. Once the original goal is achieved, narcissistic parasites creep in.
The deal a lot of people signed up for (and the left was making at the time) was "tolerance", not "acceptance".
In the same way I might tolerate an alcoholic teacher, but he better not show up drunk to class or talk about how wasted he got the night before.
It went from tolerance to acceptance to glorification. If you don't love fags or troons and would not let one suck your dick you are a "homophobe."
There could be a few factors to the change. This is all just speculation on my part.
Disregard professionalism! You have to honor the feelings of public employees who voluntarily chose to pursue teaching children after all.
I think all of your points are correct, but #3 really reasonates. If you're not married, you have few IRL friends, and you hang out with a bunch of kids all day, it is possible to treat them as friends rather than as students. This is a mistake for many reasons. It certainly at leasst USED to be a firable offense!
Perhaps it's also why the "groomer" label has stuck so quickly and easily. The teachers doing this shit ARE grooming in exactly the same way sick fuck likes Sandusky groomed poor kids with love bombing so that he could rape them in the Penn State showers.
#1 is key. Paolo Friere is the reigning God of Pedagogy in colleges of "education" everywhere.
Social conditioning through programmatic inculcation.
It's everywhere on social media; I see it and I don't even use social media! (other than here and YouTube).
The establishment has overwhelmed the general public in Western nations with the overabundance of narcissism themed around gender identity and sexuality.
I'm almost 100% positive your Gen-Z co-worker is all in on social media. If so, there is nothing but filtered content promoting the acceptance, proliferation, and spread of degenerate behaviour.
It's a social mind virus that people are coerced into accepting otherwise they are ostracised. There isn't one Liberal-controlled platform where you can outright say that homosexuality is bad and not be dogpiled, censored, or banned for sharing wrongthink.
For all of the wankers who said "Real life isn't the internet! It's just Tumblr! It's just Twitter! It's just TikTok!" have zero clue how cultivation theory works or how Marxists utilise captured institutions to alter culture and then use that for downstream politics to change societal infrastructure.
I'm not going to waste time going through all of the intricacies of how this plays out on the cultural macrocosm and why, but the TL;DR of it is that: this is all a brainwashing exercise to proliferate degeneracy and eventually legalise pedophilia.
I had a teacher who was gay in high school. He tried to be cool, but all the guys hated him, me included. Of course all the girls adored him and wanted to be in his class.
Low value people took hold of the idea that they could hold value intrinsically (through an identity), rather than through actually holding value (like being capable of teaching others). It's about losers trying to gain acceptance, rather than having to earn it. It's about validation.
And if I had to take a guess, I'd suggest that this GenZ/Millenial/whatever coworker is another low value loser that needs these identities in some form to feel successful, rather than ever make themselves better and actually succeed. The real life implementation of the Participation Award.
The only moments I inavertedly was made aware of my teacher's sexuality is if a female teacher took time off for her pregnancy and maternity leave.
That's it. Groomers need to be forced to leave kids alone.
I imagine if we decided to be little fucktards and got caught gossiping about the teachers' sex life at school, we would have been punished.
Your friend grew up in lefty ville.
It's no surprise that the nutcase teacher you had was an English teacher. For some reason that field draws the wokest of the woke and the most fragile faggish creeps.
Beatings. Physical beatings. We stopped those.
She* actually, should have said that. Just some dumb kid, basically, and she argued earnestly for how this shit helps kids, helps teachers, etc. (And of course she is straight and basic as fuck.)
Ironically, based 40+ lesbian went after her and told her to stfu basically.
Likely still a groomer.
Society really doesn't want to start asking itself 'Wait, how many young women would want to be around young, virile men they can abuse power over?'
And so society lives in blissful ignorance yet another day and quietly tries to ignore the woman sexually abusing their students.
It's a total eclipse of the heart even thinking about it.
So many people just FEEL like this bullshit sounds good. They don't know why, but they just FEEL like it!
Reminds me of a conservathot that went after Nick Fuentes on a Valuetainment panel and struggled to articulate why his ideas about women were "demeaning." One of the other liberal/centrists had to translate because she was just going "uh, uh" and waving her arms around.
LMFAO!
