If that's what they think they may not be wrong. Teachers are the ones introducing all these gay books into the schools.
Not introducing gay books. Openly handing pornography to minors in a public school without charges or repercussions.
Depends, if the banned list is pornographic in nature and to preteens, pretty much.
If it's anything requiring intellectual context of the time it was written, a far left school (I'm sadly repeating myself in most jurisdictions) is going to keep it out the classroom and put it in the dark corner of the library to not be found.
So...they're admitting that they're reactionary brainlets who just do the opposite of what their opponents want?
Cause I don't think the Bible should be taught in schools either...
Students absolutely should be exposed to the foundational philosophy behind Western civilization and parents who pitch fits over it should be identified and blacklisted the same way parents who object to teachers brainwashing and molesting 6 year olds are IDed and targeted now.
Slave morality
i can agree with that forcing things on people breeds a special kind of hate.
Cool, cant wait to read Mein Kampf in class!
I actually did in a class in Idaho.
Meanwhile, I had to fight with the school library to add my own personal copy of A Clockwork Orange when I was in high school.
What a bunch of froods.
“List of books we want censored for MoDeRn AuDiEnCeS”
If I can find it somewhere besides sitting on a back bookshelf in a used bookstore next to a raggedy copy of Camp of the Saints, it's not banned in any meaningful sense.
Remember when women tried to ban To Kill a Mockingbird?
Why wouldn't they want it gone?
It shows a woman lying about rape to the point where an innocent negro gets fucking killed for it, and her getting off scot-free.
Any other stated reason for its banning is a smokescreen, other than the gall that it has for showing the South as not "all evil all the time." Because that's another favorite bigotry of theirs.
That book did tons of damage by circulating the myth that blacks are framed and falsely accused of crimes on a mass scale, as opposed to the reality of them simply committing huge amounts of crime.
The book's notoriety has only sold that narrative and done nothing to get people to believe in false accusations outside of "muh racism against blacks."
The former probably did happen way more often in the past, but it actually served as a check on the latter. Like the beat cop telling the blacks to go back to their side of town. Distasteful, but meant to nip it in the bud before they could get uppity.
If there is any crime that black men are falsely accused of on any scale worth mentioning its rape by white women. Because white hoes absolutely love to lust after the big strong "other" man, and then cry when they get judged for it.
Its still a problem to this day, where teenage white girls will go home with black dudes and then whine rape about it tomorrow because people saw them do it and are laughing at the coal burner.
The book's portrayal of this kind negro who does it out of goodness and empathy is completely hilarious, but I've seen "innocent" (of this crime, not in general) black dudes absolutely get blindsided by the evil white women are capable of.
Easy solution: don't race mix, but that's not the message of that novel.
So, the warmup act for the #MeToo movement.
