Boom. I had to explain this to a cuckservative friend the other day. That whole thing with the kid and flag and he goes off "ha the teacher is so dumb. It's not even about slavery! She doesn't know the difference between the revolutionary war and the civil war. The CIVIL war was about SLAVERY! These people are so dumb"
I told him he's the reason for the right losing.
the civil war wasn't about slavery
the teacher may very well be dumb. But she could just as easily be, and probably is, well aware and simply doesn't like the Gadsden flag and is flexing her authority because so far she's always gotten away with it
who the fuck cares about point 1, it's irrelevant to the conversation because
the kid should be allowed to have a "slavery rocks" shirt on.
instead of whining about government schools and how unfair they are, people should unenroll their kids from them altogether (why doesn't my enemy do what I want?!?!)
And so on
The right loses because it lets the left pick not just the fight, but the battlefield and the rules of engagement
That’s been my thought on pirating most of this stuff. If I wanted to see the Netflix One Piece and not support it I could pirate it, but I don’t even want to see it.
I dunno if anyone else but me noticed, but if you pay close attention to crowd shots in the OP live action, nearly every single crowd shot has a black person front and center. It happens far too often to be coincidence. OP does not have that many black people in it in the original series.
That said, obvious wokeness and race swapping aside, the show itself was actually not bad.
i did notice that. Even when the black people are just random people in the crowd, the camera constantly put them in to focus as if to try to highlight how many black people they have.
The showrunner is black and the show is shot in South Africa. It's not so bad that it takes away from the series. At least OP is a fantasy world where there was a global culture that died out and now a World Gov controls everything. It's fair to have different skin colors, since the theory is the world was more connected 800 years ago.
Just because she had a noticeable tan and accented lips doesn't mean you get to turn the melanin dial up to 11, Netflix. Jeez!
Although I'm not surprised, as they made Luffy brownish based off of Oda saying the character would be Brazilian in the real world, completely forgetting there's many different skin tones for Brazilians.
I double-checked and there seems to be no consistency among the different media. Sometimes she's "white" (pinkish skin tone, especially when she was a child in the anime and when colored in Oda's manga drawings). In the anime as an adult, she seems to be a very light brown with a shade of pink, sort of a Mediterranean skin tone. (Granted, some characters look a bit different when showing them again in the anime after years of not appearing)
I was going off the anime version of her, but as Luffy is somewhat yellowish, she looks pinker or "whiter" in comparison, so I see what you mean.
The thing with anime is that when there is a black character, they are UNAMBIGUOUSLY BLACK. Just look at Mr. Popo from Dragon Ball, or Dutch from Black Lagoon. No way would you be able to argue they were anything else.
Usopp has darker skin tone plus fat lips and kinky hair, and his dad is clearly black. Nojiko could be arab or indian if you really wanted her to, but never african.
Plus, barf. That actress is nasty. There are some good looking mulatto chicks out there, why are they pushing these bone-nosed zebra bitches?
Yeah, I was trying to figure out how they saw her and thought, "BLACK". She has a little bit of an exotic look which they exploited.

Netflix and some Hollyweird types are intentionally celebrating ugliness when they can, it's some fetish of theirs. And for black females they usually try to pick the most unappealing ones. Nojiko here is a perfect case. "Oh an exotic female that's sexy/appealing who plays a notable role in this arc? Let's make her uggo-African!"
there was an arc about fishmen being discriminated against in one piece and they think fishmen were an allegory for black people. SO because of that they think we should accept their black washing and black supremacy
Its dumb that they compared themselves to fishmen but even with that allegory, there was also a message that the fishmen supremacists were also shit , and that fishmen should not strive for revenge, but should strive for peace . the wokes probably missed that part though of course
I thought they were working with the creator on this. What is funny is that I’ve seen people get upset over those Netflix memes but they keep doing it!
One Piece is definitely a manga on my list to buy as well as watching the anime
Like Murder vs execution, one is an unjust action, the other brings long overdue justice for all those wronged, plus it's a reconquest of stolen language
Yea you can have all the racist thoughts you want. I guess until thought crimes become illegal. Also you have many people who think hate speech laws are terrific
Unfortunately the retards we had to throw at them went trans, 4chan isn't as great as it once was and we lost some of our best memers.
The good news is thanks to the strikes, we don't need to do shit, they're on a hunger strike and we have NO obligation to feed them..
it never stopped

If you're paying for Netflix you're part of the problem.

She's not even tan, she's whiter than luffy

WE WUZ FESHMYN AND SHIET!
Always the same with Netflix, make one decent first episode then slowly shit all over the original. So predictable.
They used to at least give us a season before going full-woke with everything.
Overall casting wasn't too bad but they just can't resist claiming a white scalp. Not just black but super ugly. Was the forsaken chicken busy?
So we went from voice actors have to be the same skin color/sexuality as the character to.. its okay if its black washing. Nice nice.
When I saw Nojiko first time in the anime years and years ago I thought she was the way hotter Nami, this here on the other hand? This ain't it chief.
I thought they were working with the creator on this. What is funny is that I’ve seen people get upset over those Netflix memes but they keep doing it!

The show could have been worse, the story itself wasn't adapted badly, even though there was race swapping and wokeness.
Oda was involved with choosing the main cast, it was the side characters that he didn't chose. Still he should have spoken against it more though
I feel like at some point a creator will say “I want the cast to reflect what I envisioned”.
But I hear the manga and anime are worth checking out
Manga is so amazing. It's a long story but the journey is the best part.
Lucky Roux seems better than most of the Red Hair Pirates at least, especially Beckman.
Nojiko is awful though, the young one looks a hard 30, the other one is just mediocre.
Lucky being black wasn't bad, I just wish they did a better job with the scene where he shoots a bandit for pointing a gun at Shanks.
In the LA, Shanks points his finger at a bandit with a sword and Lucky shoots him from like 30ft away
*lynched
