I'm already in the camp of 'Trump or nothing 2024' as there is NO other good option for anyone that doesn't want to end up castrated but does this mean he's actually in their inner circles or is this more a badge they slap on people regardless so to make themselves seem more prestigious?

Yup, Trump or nothing! And I'm not even a die-hard, I fully admit I was off the Trump train for a while, and thought we needed some new blood. That was until the "new blood" showed they wanted to turn the Republican party back into what it was pre-Trump. I want Trump not because I think Trump is God Emperor, I want Trump because I think he's best for the politics and the party. We need Trump. Anyone else will push us in the wrong direction, and make us lose whatever momentum we were starting to gain.

And, yeah, I think the WEF Young Leader thing isn't that big of a deal, they seem to be able to slap it on any relevant figure they chose. This doesn't really change my opinion of Vivek, who I already didn't trust, one way or the other.

Trump 2024.

I know I’m being naive but I hope at least some people will see all these charges against him as suspicious and start opening their eyes

Fair enough, though considering the Republican nomination debate turned into the 'VP debate' given how far behind Trump they all are, who do you think is the best for VP?

Obviously Pence is out, Desantis is out too, heard a lot of people putting forward Ramaswarmpy but I've heard too much mixed things to trust him there.

They are all subverted. I’d like to see him call up Michael Flynn forVP

I think the best use for the VP slot would be a person they hate even more than Trump, as insurance.

So Alex Jones as VP then?

I'd go with Cruz.

Yes, he would totally stab his brother in the back and yes he's totally in it for himself.

But he's wicked smart, not deep state, could win 2028, and he looks pretty ok with that beard. He's like a reincarnation of Nixon and we need more of that; greatest President of all time.

Trump narrowly beat out Cruz in the populist 2016 election. Populist voters fed up with the system looked at Jeb! and that pizza guy and everybody else and said Cruz was their 2nd choice.

Honestly I think bearded Cruz wins the 2016 nomination not Trump. Clean-shaven Cruz just doesn't look presidential.

He was also chosen to ask a question along with Pete Buttplug at this debate or whatever it was.

It might mean nothing, but there are too many coincidences for my taste.

What do you think the endgame is, what's your theory?

Because he's outwardly the most pro-Trump candidate, and he's not a threat to Trump. For the record, I don't trust the guy either, and this isn't an endorsement, I'm just curious what you think the angle is.

Try to get VP, then take over if Trump has health issues? Hope Trump has issues and Vivek can become frontrunner before the election? Because outside of something like that, he's pretty irrelevant.

This doesn't change my opinion of Vivek in the slightest. I already didn't trust the guy, and not everyone the WEF names is going to be inherently compromised anyway, I'd imagine. And I still like that he exists, as he says pretty great things that need to be said. He's (currently) a positive force, even if it does end up that he was doing so for nefarious reasons. And personally I don't think he's nefarious, just disingenuous, although I could be wrong.

I think the biggest threat is if they actually manage to bar Trump from running. We're even more fucked than we currently are if that happens, and some of the last of the veneer of representation dies, although not enough people will realize. Which is the most frustrating part; most people don't realize just how far we've fallen from representation or "democracy" if you want to call it that. The current regime is trying to ruin the opposition frontrunner, an the primary in-party challenger, at the same time. Absurd.

Fair enough, could very well be the case.

Again, I'm more concerned they'll go overt and try to bar Trump completely, but they have been shown to want to cover their bases.

Vivek is a ruthlessly ambitious Indian on top of being a high stakes finance guy. One part is ambivalent toward other ethnicities at best, the other part tends toward pure sociopathy. Anyone who believes he'll fight for them is credulous enough to follow Barney the Dinosaur into battle.

The problem is the choice between unknown potentially untrustworthy guy promising things I like vs. proven untrustworthy establishment hacks promising things I don't like.

Even if he's 0% genuine in anything he's saying, how could he be much worse than any of the other candidates?

You could say the exact same for Trump.

If we were going on purely what they said (in this fictional scenario you can trust some politicians), as well as that he's not been entrenched in government, Vivek would be right near the top of the list. Vivek says great stuff (I don't believe him, but he says it), and he's probably not as swampy as some of the others.

I've said it from the start, I don't want him to be president, but I'm glad he's around and saying what he is. He's far from the least serious candidate.

Vivek might be the most swampy out of everyone, unless Bush or Obama was running for office. There are a bunch of videos surfacing of him debating at WEF things as a college student against Pete Buttigeg, he does a lot of work in Big Pharma, and he's not even American. Indians will say just about anything to get power, before they bend over and help their own kin into positions of power.

Again, I don't trust the guy. I'd still take him in a heartbeat if my other choices were Pence, Haley, Hutchinson, or Christie. And DeSantis is a tossup. I like a lot of what DeSantis has done, but what he's saying isn't as good, he's lost a lot of points with me recently, and he's at least as connected to a lot of swampy stuff.

Again, am I rooting for Vivek? Absolutely not. But he's far from the worst of the bunch, even given his absolutely snake-like behavior.

As I said in another comment, Trump is the only option. But acting like Vivek couldn't be a "serious" candidate, or that he's worse than a bunch of the others, just doesn't really work, at least for me.

I'd rather vote for a Dem than anyone else. At least they'll destroy the country faster so we don't have to sit and wait. But that's just me.
