Banner demanding to ban private jets.

Hey, a single thing we agree on. But my motivation is pissing-off rich ''climate activists'' virtue-signalers.

Why would you ban private jets? That doesn't make any sense.

Because if you want to say climate change is a serious danger, you have to be willing to do what it takes to reverse it.

I will believe in climate change when they start talking about nuking China and India to keep them from destroying the planet. Not willing to sacrifice billions now to save trillions over the next 10,000 years? Then you don't really believe climate change poses an existential threat.

I believe in climate change and none of that is in line with any data that exists.

Yes, Climate Change is an existential threat to states, not to humanity, let alone the actual planet itself. There is also no evidence that Climate Change is a threat to either humanity or the planet itself. Normally what happens when a civilization level threat arises, it is far more subtle than a war. Most people will quietly move out of less productive or economic lands to better ones, meaning that the political order is destabilized and empires fall.

Honestly, Jared Diamond (the guy who wrote Guns, Germs, and Steel) basically wrote another book called "Collapse" where he looks how several massive powers collapsed, several of them due to climatological chances, causing logistical chaos that made many early empires unable to feed the city-states that ruled their empire.

One exception to this is actually Easter Island because factionalism actually depleted the island's supply of wood, because the large trees were being cut down to support the creation of those giant stone heads and move them into positions in an intra-island culture war. The island was so deforested (and the inhabitants didn't have any forest management), that boats could no longer be built, meaning that the island couldn't engage in trade, and had accidentally isolated itself. This basically caused a massive demographic collapse and turned a late stone-age tribe into an near early stone-age people that wouldn't encounter other humans for hundreds of years until Europeans encountered them.

Now THIS is the kinda policing we need, non of this 'community support' bullshit, we need 'you break the rules you'd better surrender quick or I'm breaking bones with this nightstick'

So they didn't run over any people just some signs.

They always scream like even more wimpy than an actual baby too. Quit begging for mercy like a whiny pussy. You went out and broke the law for your cause. Fine. You're not getting shot, you're not getting run over. Go to jail and show that you feel like your cause is more important than spending a day in jail.

I'm kind if surprise none of the other Bubba's with trucks didn't just use a tow strap to drag them and their junk (slowly) off the road.

It was pretty satisfying to see that one tribal cop just YOLO through their sign and swing back for more.

So they were blocking burning man and got arrested? I don't think this was for the reasons it's being praised.

the most likely reason they got such a hard responses because they were blocking traffic in the middle of the goddamn desert. as in, literally in the middle of nowhere in the desert heat. if traffic was blocked for long enough, there was a chance that people could have actually been in danger if they began to run out of gas.

That and it's on sovereign Tribal land. The United States Constitution has zero effect within their borders.

They were blocking the woke libs from getting to their precious festival, of course the state stepped in. If this was in your neighborhood the police would line up to protect the protestors and make sure you couldn't get to the hospital while laughing in your face.

Besides that, this is tribal police on tribal land. They can actually do their job bc their ethnicity protects them from the wrath of the state. If your local police did this their heads would roll.

not my neighborhood. when the rioters came to town the police and local gangs collaborated to kick them out. there was one night of rioting in 2020 and they haven't come back since.
