Hey now. America is 6% black males yet they make up probably 85% of our football and basketball teams. So they have precedent for expecting it.

It's funny. Black women are better at sports. But white women are more inclined to play soccer and work harder.

I doubt you can blame it on laziness. It must be a matter of opportunity. It's mostly wealthy people who can get into certain sports instead of focusing on making money to subsist, like golf, formula 1 and such. Maybe it's also true for soccer in England. It's the prince who goes and has an adventure: everyone else is farming for survival.
At least in the men’s game, getting your kid into a club’s youth academy is dirt cheap, because the clubs subsidize it. Idk about the women’s game though, but I imagine they don’t subsidize that, so it’s predominantly wealthier families that can have their daughters play soccer, hence why England’s women team is predominantly white.
Also for the men’s team, the reason why a lot of the team is black is because the vast majority of black people in England are of Jamaican descent.

No, no, he’s right. Even sports should not be a meritocracy. The team finished second in the world, losing by only one goal in the final, but no, let’s do equity rather than compete for titles. By the way, expect this stuff constantly. Italy was criticized after it won the men’s Euro title on account of having too many Italians. 2020 was a watershed, this shit will never stop.
Their most prominent black player also got a screamer of a red card, which was so controversial (i.e. the behaviour that led to it) that other players had to say that she “wasn’t representative” of the team as a whole…
So yeah… Even the black player who did make the team managed to mess that one up.
