I don't think I've ever been a consistent watcher of any of these type videos. Why? They go on and on and on about the same thing. I've seen things posted here "good video about X" but it's a 15 minute point that they managed to make a 2 hour video about. An example that is not exactly on topic but has been talked about lately is the whole Gamers Nexus / LTT thing. You're telling me watching almost 45 minutes of Youtuber soap opera is a valuable use of my time? I could read everything I want to know about that in 10 minutes.
I've gone on about that for a decade. Especially hate it when it replaces something like written instructions. No, I don't want to just watch a YouTube video. How does that help me when I'm under a car or have a computer half apart and just want to make sure I'm taking the right bolts out or plugging in the right wires? Printed instructions I could have right there and look at a diagram or read. Video I need a device that's large enough to see, with fine enough control to be able to move around to a specific point, and it's in a situation where it's more likely to get broken. No thanks.
I've also told people just as long when they try to tell me about Fox News, CNN, whatever screaming agitation propaganda outlet or not...I read the news not watch it.
I agree, it does get old, and while you seem close to realizing the true reason, hinting at it, you didn't express it in your post.
The reason why you get fed up with non stop talking about problems is because it's non productive, perpetually kept in the early stages of the problem solving process, neutered of the entire point of talking about a problem.
Step 1: Acknowledge that a problem exists.
Step 2: Properly define and understand the problem.
Step 3: Propose possible solutions.
Step 4: Enact solutions.
Step 5: If proposed solutions fail, return to step 2 or 3 as needed and repeat.
Societal wide problems require communication and en masse action. However, if everyone on our side is perpetually stuck merely talking about a problem, and never acting to fix it, then they're not interested in solving the problem, only bitching about it to other people who also see it, in the hopes of getting money or fame from the popularity. Even worse, it's an intentional control mechanism to keep people trapped in the middle stages of the problem solving process without actually acting to fix them, or the controlled opposition continually misdefines the problem(s) and proposes solutions that never work. This is how the majority of mainstream right wing operates.
It should also be noted that bitching about a difficult problem to others, expecting other people to fix them, is womanly behavior. Anyone that's been in a relationship with a woman will understand. Seeing so many men do this speaks poorly of how much our society, and our men have been feminized.
This. And after going from step five back to two and three repeatedly, I have come to the conclusion that this conflict is spiritual in nature. Yup, then there's the body and mind aspect to consider.
I agree that spirituality is a part of it, because the people in power are so vociferously anti Christian and increasingly becoming more open about being satanic, but I think constant failure at step 5, society wide, is due to people being brainwashed by most of society's institutions, preventing them from being able to properly identify the problem(s), and proposing solutions that work. It's also because the mainstream parties, politically and culturally, are largely captured and corrupt, a false choice trap, where they constantly misdefine problems and enact solutions that will never work, giving people the illusion of choice and resistance.
Ironically, I get more quality from people who weren't part of gamergate but know of it or looked at it after the fact like your Robert Barnes or Clownfish types. Technically Arch is post gamergate as he got hit after the initial shitstorm same with the Quatering though I don't watch him much.
A lot of the guys from the initial gg days have fallen off or moved on, the fallen off can be because they got addicted to the attention and when it started to dry up because people got to know the enemy and so knew who to avoid, they couldn't handle it and started either going too crazy to try and maintain their relevancy.
Then you have those who's exposure to gg made them realise how shit the systems truly us and set up shifting their focus to be more political and cultural like your Sagon with his Lotus Eaters and these types. It also helps that because they shifted to broader political and cultural focus you get more of a historical and philosophical background with them.
Really, it's just some haven't adapted to the change in times and so got left behind or boring in their content. If you want to see someone who was easily able to adapt to the times, look at the most subscribed individual YouTubers like Pewdiepie or Mr Beast, then compare them to your once great but fallen off YouTubers. To be a successful entertainer, you need to be able to adapt with the times or be left behind.
Most of that stuff on history is on their website like their introspection series is on their own website. Some of it filters down to YouTube but all lot their YouTube content is filtered down compared to their website since they own their website and YouTube seems to be focusing on them.
The issue is alternatives are available but YouTube is STILL the one with the biggest audience. If you just go alternate then you'll lose a good portion of your audience, so the current best method is water down your YouTube content but say 'if you want my unfiltered content, go to my Rumble/patreon etc' because until people get sick enough of bland political takes to use alts more, expect watered and bland on YouTube for the time being.
Well look at the mainstream alternatives for certain media content, Twitch seems to be fucking themselves over and TikTok's creator pay rates is AWFUL so no matter the bias and bone headed decisions of YouTube, it's still better to water it down on there but build a following that can follow you elsewhere.
The true competition I can see for YouTube is not any of the alternatives, ironically it's Twitter/X, if Elon does go through making it into a multimedia, everything platform but with a focus on legal speech, it can definitely force YouTube to change through competition.
they're fast outing themselves as youtube and twitter addicts
Most youtubers/content creators are shut-ins with little life. Who else is going to take the time for it? I think you expect too much out of people. Take them for what they are instead of demanding too much from them.
Especially when half their content even when it's a different topics is them bitching about youtube policy and mirroring the very same video to an alt-tech site which just shows they're being lazy. Sometimes they do put up alt-tech exclusives, however they often only do it unless they have absolutely no other choice and will censor themselves.
To be fair, you can't make a career out of content creation without youtube, where most viewers are. Most content creators want to make a living out of it, and you just can't make money without youtube numbers. You need like six figures of views for enough people to donate a living wage.
Alternatively I've also found myself far more interested in watching some autist ramble on about a subject they're specialised in for 30 minutes than bother with any of the old youtubers I used to watch.
Me too. If you're tired of commentators then it means there really isn't much more to be said anymore. You already know marxism, the deep state and good and evil. There's not much more than that. I also don't bother with a lot of content these days, even most threads here: much of it is the same old complaining about the same old things. Better to spend the time elsewhere.
Once the 2020 election was "fortified" I lost all interest in national politics. All these guys talk endlessly about policy, and none of it matters because some poll workers in Atlanta or Philly will "find" a bunch of ballots in the middle of the night after they were supposed to have all stopped counting and gone home.
And any politician who cares about that (let alone does anything about it) is a pariah (remember when Madison Cawthorn talked about the orgies and coke parties, then his own party dropped him like a hot potato like a week later?)
Until you fix those problems, none of the day-to-day policy shit the pundits are talking about matters.
I think it's the realization that you have a life outside of this. Yeah, politics is a real thing and we need to be worried, but life has to keep going.
It's one of those really annoying things people outside of history don't get. A really big thing happens and the vast majority of people keep living. The French revolution happened with the mechanical entertainment and shipping center revolution in the same city.
There are a lot of complaints about the latest Wonder Woman movies, but the first one had a moment where a woman begs for help because she hasn't gotten food in 3 years. It sounds desperate, and then you realize it sounds impossible. People would have adapted and moved on with their lives while the war happened, and they did. A few miles away from the war front were villages doing trade with each other, including the enemy villages. For all our bluster the same happens in every war. The internet and trade between the Ukraine and Russia still happens, just indirectly.
Once you recognize it, you also recognize the need to go play videogames, drive fun cars, and raise a family. The people doing all the bluster are doing the same. It's their job, not their life.
Well most commentators seems to at best just be a lighting rod to get the recent most decadency, And they don't most of the time go through this decadency with autistic details, Which means that what you get is the headlines and emotions (Which is not filling enough, if you ask me)
In regards to their lack of use of alt tech. Tbh I do not think most of these people have technical competency to start hosting their own and as you say they are stuck with the addiction or rational that they need to keep building up their brand, which means that they stay on youtube or perhaps if they want the damnned youth they try to branch out to ticktock...
Anyone who earns a living by the very system they supposedly critique is going to be "useless" because anything they say is approved. The actual people who have anything worth saying are banned still on every media platform or would be banned if they said anything.
I don't think I've ever been a consistent watcher of any of these type videos. Why? They go on and on and on about the same thing. Web2.0's obsession with video content is a slide towards the lowest common denominator pandering to dimwits.
Bring back text articles, and transcript videos. I cpuld read the transcript of one of those waffling shitposts with 5% of the time investment.
I've gone on about that for a decade. Especially hate it when it replaces something like written instructions. No, I don't want to just watch a YouTube video. There's some great AI that can transcribe the video for you.
I might have to try it. I just don't think about going to look for AI things to help me
I am using speak.ai, but there are a lot out there. I'm sure there's a free one, but I haven't found it yet.

Aaaand, here we go! Dude just started his Odysee channel and already he's causing drama and beefing with other anti-sjw channels for clout!
You're a snake, Lethn! A SNAKE!
LOL! Newfag doesn't get it.
