She was trained by Anakin, so she's in the upper echelon of the Jedi. However I do worry that she will be ruined by this series. I hope not, but I expect it.
she had a cameo in the mandalorian. the actor didn't seem to get ahsoka very much and seemed very sadistic when fighting. she also seemed way more arrogant than ahsoka was supposed to be given the arc that she has been through. combine that with Sendula looking younger than she did in rebels, and Sabine looking nothing like how she did in rebels, and I have zero faith the show will do the characters Justice.
I'm expecting Girlboss: The Bossening. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up completely outwitting Thrawn.
Just judging by the fandom, she is the most popular Star Wars character to be introduced since the original movie. So they embellish her, put her in more stories to attract the fans, and make her more powerful to satisfy them. I heard that she took on Darth Vader and died a Disney death in the battle with the building falling on her but no body was recovered, so she should be canonically dead with an opening for the writers to bring her back if they want to.
In Rebels, Ahsoka fights Vader in a Sith temple that's in the process of going doomsday. She stabs the floor to destroy the place... and then Vader is later seen limping away.
A year later, Ezra with Morai's help uses a portal in the Jedi temple on Lothal to pull her out of that moment, presumably displacing her forward in time up to his present day.
The thing you gotta understand about Rebels, is that Ezra is so powerful he's practically an Eldar Farseer or Worldsinger from 40k.

tl;dr Filoni added time travel to a 40 year old franchise to save his waifu oc yet again.
It was a continuation of a clone wars thing. It didn't come out of nowhere.
In season 3 of clone wars, Anakin, Obi-wan, and Ahsoka visit Mortis and encounter the three force celestials (the Father, Son, and Daughter) who try to take Anakin as their successor. This story was from Lucas himself, and the original plot for the last three movies was supposed to involve the force gods and the resolution of their conflict. Luke was supposed to go there and it would finally explain the whole balance the force prophecy thing.
Anyway, towards the end of Rebels, Ezra enters their realm. Morai, a form or familiar of the daughter, leads him to Ahsoka.
One of the things Rebels establishes is that force users are potentially capable of being so much more than just spoon bending precogs with laser swords. A strong enough force user can do 40k eldar shit like creating webways.
In short, Filoni was working from Lucas's materials for VII-IX as they were when Lucas sold the company to Disney, and Rebels was setting the stage for those movies.

Maybe so at one point, but her repeated insertion into more and more material, especially post OG films, is getting increasing pushback from fans who find her overused now.
Ashoka was always Dave Filoni's pet OC and while she was part of the Clone Wars stories that wasn't much of an issue. But her repeated survival through events such as Order 66, her duel with Vader in Rebels which fundamentally rewrote Star Wars lore by introducing time travel, the entire fucking original trilogy, and now showing up in multiple Disney productions such as The Mandalorian and The wet fart Book of Boba Fett means she's been in more shows and stories than anyone.
And on top of all that her upcoming solo show is a rip off of Timothy Zahn's 'Heir to the Empire' but with Ashoka has the lead instead of Luke, because first off Luke is dead due to the truly shit tier writing of the Disney Trilogy, but also because modern protags in Disney, and the wider entertainment medium, are all Girl-Boss types who get everything handed to them and never actually face real challenges.
Someone tried to convince me to watch it due to the Heir to the Empire influence. I said I want to see a faithful adaptation. Darth Angelus on YouTube is doing an adaptation and he is doing a good job considering his limitations
IIRC, they wrote her as an obnoxious kid's character in the animated movie then fixed her in the series. I can't comment on her appearances in the new live action series.
I believe she took on Darth Vader and basically won
Vaders only function now is to be battered about by diversity losing only because Canon demands he 'escape'. Hes not allowed to defeat the diversity himself either
She was a wretched little girlboss character that excelled in the force power of being an annoying little brat. Some teen audience members grew attached to her, because they didn't have anything else to watch, explaining their praise for this little Mary Rey in lizard form.
Ashoka stands as a testament to how insidious the effects of propaganda are on impressionable youths. That's why Hollywoke and Disney won't stop with their unrelenting propaganda onslaught, knowing that it has an effect on younger generations.
Should be pretty powerful. I stopped watching Disney Star Wars but liked her in clone wars. From what I hear the show is going to be a bastardized version of Heir to the Empire. Or have elements of it.
I get Disney can do as it pleases but I’d rather them not use the EU. They didn’t want to use it so they can have a clean slate so stick to it. Just sounds like the show will be a mish mash of rebels and heir to the empire. I’d love to see a competent person adapt it. Not Disney.
Darth Angelus on YouTube is doing a good job with an animated adaptation
Hell, I'm trying to look into other things, Gilad Pellaeon (Thrawn's top man other than his Noghri bodyguard) no longer exists either, does he.
Disney forgetting about him would be a good thing IMO. Pellaeon is legitimately one of my favorite EU characters. Just an experienced, competent guy who carries on doing his job as best he can while he's surrounded by space wizards, scenery-chewing supervillains, crazy alien species and more. And he usually does his job pretty darn well.
Post RotS, Ashoka could be considered the master of Shien (Form V). In a straight up saber fight, probably the best lightsaber fighter of all the survivors, partly because she's younger and Shien requires athleticism.
For force powers, not the strongest. Ezra and Luke both have more raw potential, but Ashoka has more training.
Not really. I haven't watched much of the 3d show, but there is an excellent clip where Anakin berates her and the teachers for using the deflector droids and makes her train by getting shot at by a firing squad of stormtroopers repeatedly. Her buildup to being skilled is quite clear and she never comes close to actually beating Vader.

I haven't watched much content with Ahsoka in it but my understanding is it's more a case of she's Dave Filoni's OC waifu than she is a girlboss.
She's a girl-boss because she's Filoni's OC waifu, one he repeatedly refuses to let die despite having several opportunities to do so with dignity.

Yeah, the Jesus birth of Star Wars, that turned the dark side just gets his ass handed to him by girl powa chicka wow wow.
Judging by some other commentary here, looks like SW was losing the plot even with Lucas. KK just kicked it into overdrive.
I’m surprised how many fans of Ahsoka, The Clone Wars and Rebels there are on c/KotakuInAction2 of all places.
She was a wretched little girlboss character that excelled in the force power of being an annoying little brat. Some teen audience members grew attached to her, because they didn't have anything else to watch, explaining their praise for this little Mary Rey in lizard form.

It won't have Talon Karrde, the Noghri, the Solo Twins' birth, Mara Jade, Jorus C'Boath, ysalimiri, etc etc.
Hell, I'm trying to look into other things, Gilad Pellaeon (Thrawn's top man other than his Noghri bodyguard) no longer exists either, does he.

I also like how he ended up fighting with the New Republic against the Vong. It was weird reading about TIE Fighters and X-Wings working together
She's "Anakin's Student" powerful.

So girl boss. Got it.

Yea, not sure how Disney will portray her now but in Clone Wars she wasn’t the “girlboss” we see in so many modern shows.
Just watch Rebels. It's well done. By the end it's clear Ezra has already eclipsed her as a Jedi.
Ashoka is good with a sword, maybe the best for a while, but that's her whole gimmick.
You mean RotS? She wasn't even attached to Anakin until the time in between the two.
